Chapter 1

I can't believe I'm finally a senior in high school which means I'm almost done with school. It was the last day of school which means it was finally summer. As I got home my sister Miranda was home she no longer has to go to school. She graduated this year how lucky is she? I'm not sure what I'm doing this summer I haven't planned anything. What I do know is that I'm going to Atlantic City this year. AC was our favorite place to go for the summer because my parents love the casinos and. The beach was just perfect plus the hotels were the best. To be honest I think the hotels are the only thing I really like about AC. I mean everything was perfect but it's a place for grown ups I can't drink yet or even play in the casinos. But the only good thing about this trip is that I get to go with someone I care about. His name was Vinnie he moved into our neighborhood not to long ago he lived right in front of my house. He was my neighbor every night he sits down on his balcony and stares up to my window. It might be just a little creepy for others but to me it wasn't it was kind of cute he would look up and his dark brown eyes would shine. It was a friday night and it was pretty late I went to look outside and I saw him he was looking directly towards window. I smiled and waved I kept asking myself if I should go down there and talk to him. So I did it was chilly and I had on my favorite joggers my hair was in a messy bun. I didn't look perfect but I mean I wasn't going somewhere special. I walked to his balcony and asked Hey what are you doing up so late? "Staring up to see if a beautiful girl would look out to see her hand some man waiting for her" It's going to take more than a little boys catch phrase to get me. He smiled and said haha trying hard to get? Oh I'm not trying I really am hard to get. He looked me in the eye and said "then I better try harder" I should probably head back home its getting pretty late I answered. I'll see you around me and him would always go out for coffee or he will come over and we would watch movies. It was nice to finally have someone new around. The only problem was he is 2 years older than me I know its not much but for my family reputation is areally important thing. My parents would still let me hang out with him and talk to him but just as friends did I want that? No but I had no other option.

Vinnie was the perfect height he had dark brown hair soft and shiny, he would always wear abercrombie or hollister he always wanted to look good he impressed me everyday. I would sometime go over his house I met his family they were all really nice people he had 2 younger brothers I got along with them. My family also knows his family so every Friday we would all go out for dinner and dress up really good. I decided to wear a long black dress that had cut outs on the sides with diamonds on the sleeves. I put my hair into an updo with shiny pins that had a lot of sparkles and my red with black heels. My family and I went over his house so we could all go in the same car I entered and he was standing there. With his black and white suit and his black shiny shoes I was shocked he looked perfect. I didn't move or say anything he looked me in the eye like if it was the only girl in this world. His eyes were wide open I smiled and he smiled back it all felt like a dream I knew he was the one I wanted. His dad yelled " Well this is awkward" we both smiled Vinnie walked over to me " Hi you look beautiful" Thanks you don't look so bad yourself I said " Ha trying hard to get again. My mom came in and yelled "it's time to go" we sat next to each other in the car. He would look me in the eye and stare like if it was the last time we would ever see each other.

We arrived to the restaurant we all entered everyone turned to look at us the waitress said to us you guys are like Romeo and Juliet finally together perfect and meant for each other. We both smiled and he gave me a wink we all sat down I sat next to him we both got our favorite meal a double cheese burger with French fries. Even though we were in a really fancy restaurant we didn't have to act any different. We were always ourselves around each other dinner was over we arrived home he hugged me and gave me a kiss on the cheek he said I had a great time I said Me too ill see you tomorrow bye. When we got home my mom called me and said that I need to start packing for AC she surprised me and said that Vinnie and his family will be joining us. I screamed and said thank you so much mom you are the best she said I know I know you can thank me later just be careful please I don't want you to have a bad reputation when we come back. You won't I promise omg!!! Thank you so much I love you lots I texted Vinnie and said did you hear he said yes I can't believe were finally going to be able to spend more time together. I know I'll see you tomorrow so we can talk about it more. I can't believe will finally be able to be with each other for an entire week. It was Tuesday I had nothing to do so me and Vinnie went to go buy some clothes for AC we walked around for awhile we got what we wanted we both bought the same shirts well only two pairs because we wanted to twin I know it was childish but we didn't care. I got a call from my sister Miranda she asked if we wanted to go have lunch with her at our favorite Café Panera bread I loved that Cafe because that was where me and Vinnie's first date was at.

We arrived at Panera my sister wasn't alone she and her boyfriend were their Vinnie looked at me and said I guess this is a double date. We sat down and ordered our food Miranda asked Vinnie why didn't he just ask me out already? I raised my eye brow to Miranda as embarrassed as I was why would she ask him that? Vinnie smiled and said everything comes at its time. It was pretty awkward afterwards nobody was really speaking. Lunch was finally over I went back home with Vinnie Miranda and her boyfriend were going somewhere else I really didn't care because I didn't want her to ask any more questions. There was awkward silence in the car we didn't really speak to each other we would just let the music play of course Taylor swifts music would come up it made it even awkward because she technically singed what I was feeling. Vinnie Stopped the car and I looked at him with shock. He turned my way and said I'm sorry about the awkwardness it's just kind of hard to answer those types of questions. I said its ok I know it's hard because we can't really say anything about us but I understand he said Thanks. After that long car ride was over and I got home Mom was home she asked me if I wanted to go to AC on a Monday or Friday I said on a Monday because we would go on the beginning of the week which meant a fresh new week. I went up to my room for some reason I was really tired but I knew I had to start packing.
