Chapter 14

It was early in the morning I felt so much better all my stress was gone. Frank and I are good now and I haven't had breakfast in like two days. I went down stairs to go have some breakfast I always check my phone there. I see I have a message from Juan saying he needed to talk to me ASAP. Juan never texted me that before I had to call him back. I gave him a call Hey what's wrong? I asked. I need to talk to you I'll meet you at Starbucks in ten minutes. He sounded very nervous and scared I was getting worried his never like that. Great i get out of one problem and go into another one. I went back up to my room and got dressed really fast because he said he was there in ten minutes. I didn't even bother trying to look good I was worried. I got in my car and drove of to Starbucks I was going as fast as I could. I got there and Juans car was already parked there he was sitting next to the door.
Hey I said

"Hey you want something to drink?? Walking towards me

Yea sure but I'll get it myself. What's wrong?

"OK so yesterday sky and I got in a fight" he said

Why what happened? I asked

"She got mad because she said I'm way to close to you. That I'm probably cheating on her with you. She made a whole drama about it"

Really?? What did you say? Or what happened?

"So she said if I don't stop talking to you she's going to break up with me" he was shaking a little and was very scared.

And you didn't listen to her right? I asked

He didn't say anything he turned his head and then gave me a very strong look.

Your going to listen to her and stop talking to me?? I have been your best friend since middle school. Your just going to let a girl come between us? There's many other girls Juan one that actually cares about you.

"But I love her and I want to be with her I'm really sorry beth" he murmured

I can't believe you to let a girl that your probably going to last two months with. Ruin our friendship for life wow.

"Bethany please understand I care a lot about her to just let her go"

And what about me? I have been there with you through everything I push you so you can do your best all the time. I'm always there for you 24/7 I care a lot about you but you don't see that do you??

"I'm really sorry beth I hope you have a great rest of your life and Goodluck on everything" he stood up and left without a hug or anything I just lost my best friend. The one I care about a lot and I can't do anything about it.
It's so hard to see someone you really care about walk out on you. I wanted to go after him but it wasn't worth it. He knew what he wanted in his life and I wasn't one of them. I went back home I still had to go to practice and it was four already. I had to get dressed into gym clothes and get ready or else I would get yelled at again. I went downstairs to see if my mom was home she was her and my sister. They were both talking and of course I had to jump in the conversation.
Hey you guys what are you talking about? I asked
"About how we want to have a cook out this weekend" Miranda said.
Oh that's nice who's coming?
"All the neighbors, some friends , your friends, Mirandas friend, and you know other people" Mom answered
That's nice mom is dad coming over?
My mom and dad are separated they haven't been together since we moved here. Which was three years ago they don't really talk unless it's about Miranda and I.
"Yes beth I invited him over" with an attitude.
OK well I have to go to practice you guys I'll see you later. I said
I left and drove to the gym I was twenty minutes earlier and the team. I saw frank he was happy that I got there on time. Even though I was smiling didn't mean I was happy. Juan not being my best Friend is killing me and it's all because of that girl. It's so unfair ugh I have to stop thinking about that and get to the warm ups.
