Third Person POV
"Ah! Traveler, how nice it is to see you again!" Verr Goldet greeted as Aether approached the inn counter.
She tilted her head and looked behind the traveler to glance at his fairy companion. She was mildly surprised when a little girl popped up from behind Aether's back and tilted her head, imitating her action.
Verr blinked and laughed. "What a cute kid!"
Aether let out an 'oh' and sheepishly placed the kid on the counter, who then took interest at the cat as she just stared at it.
"This is [Reader]. It may not look like it but she's actually older than she looks. She's a grown woman who was struck by some unknown...sorcery, hence she became a child." Aether admitted.
Verr had wits, and she was bound to know either way so it was better to be straightforward about it. Also, he had a gut feeling that Verr would inform this to Ningguang. It may even help them find somebody who can handle this dilemma when they arrive at Liyue.
It was a beneficial situation.
Verr Goldet stared for a good minute at the child and touched [Reader]'s small hand. She then smiled. "What a strange occurrence indeed. The child's a beauty. I bet she's more lovely as a woman, ain't she?" She wiggled her eyebrows at the flustered blonde.
"O-of course she i- anyways, we would like to book one room for one night p-please." Aether fumbled in his words, unintentionally confirming her suspicion.
"My my." She knowingly giggled while preparing their necessities for the night.
"Here you go."
"Thank you." Aether immediately pushed his companions out of the room and ran away from her.
Verr leaned on the counter and played with the black cat for a bit. She hummed. "How long do you plan to hide?"
After waiting for a few seconds, a voice spoke up in response."I don't see how that concerns you."
