"Aethy?"
"Yeah?"
"Why are you holding my hand?"
"Because it would be weird if I held your feet instead."
"You're literally holding Paimon in the feet like a floating balloon though..."
"Oh, my bad. I thought she was an airship since she's so fat already."
"HEY!" Paimon tried kicking his hand off but the blonde simply tied a leash on her foot. "Now she's a hot-headed air balloon."
[Reader] laughed at Paimon's annoyed face. "Okay, really why are you being so clingy hmm?" [Reader] motioned to their tightly intertwined hand.
Aether looked away. "I thought it was pretty obvious..." Of course he would miss hanging out and talking to her like this.
He attempted to pull his hand away in fear that it was discomforting the girl, but [Reader] held his hand tighter.
"I know, old man. I missed you too." She grinned at his flushed face.
"....would you stop calling me old man?"
She smiled wider. "I won't."
The traveler sighed, but they soon chuckled at each other while clasping their hands tighter and warmer than before.
"You were very cute as a kid."
"Really?"
"Yeah. But I must say you are much more beautiful and adorable the way you are now. So I really missed seeing you like this."
"Aww!!"
Just like that, they already forgot their pet fairy who was now acting like a deflated balloon being dragged with her face rubbing against the floor. As always, she was being dramatic about their PDA.
The sky was now being illuminated by a full moon accompanied by countless specks of stars. Aether insisted that they held hands continuously because it was cold as they make their way to a more secluded area of the city to eat the take-out they bought from Wanmin Restaurant earlier.
