"I think that's the end of it." [Reader] commented when they could no longer see any fireworks being lit up to the sky.
"What a nice way to end the festival." Thoma said.
"And your birthday." [Reader] added.
A smile crept up on Thoma's face as he looked at her side profile. Setting his eyes on her hair, he remembered something.
"Oh, before I forget." Thoma reached up to her face, the action causing her to flinch all of the sudden.
Thoma laughed while touching her hair. "Afraid? Calm down, [Reader]. I won't do anything you don't like."
She scoffed. "I'm not afraid. I never am."
"Really? Everyone's got something they're afraid of. I'm sure you do, even if you don't know it right now."
What a lie, [Reader]. You're afraid, just trying to deny it.
[Reader] muttered in spite. "Shut it..."
"Pardon?" Thoma looked hurt and confused at the same time, wondering if he said something he shouldn't have.
"U-uh I said got it. How about you? What are you afraid of?" [Reader] said in a hurry, making it seem like he heard her wrong just now but he knew what he heard.
"Ohh. The Raiden Shogun mostly. But Lord Ayato could also rival her." He played along and shivered at the thought of those two.
[Reader] laughed at him wildly, remembering the time Thoma was caught and tied up at the Vision Hunt Decree in-game or when Ayato would make him eat suspicious and strange foods. "I can imagine."
He playfully smacked her head lightly, but continued what he was doing afterwards. Thoma was combing through her hair and parting some away, leaving her to think that he knew how to do hairstyles."Haha very funny."
"I'm surprised you didn't mentioned your kitchen."
He gasped in realization. "You're right! It would be a nightmare if someone touches my precious kitchen. Do you have any idea the shock I went through after finding the kitchen all burnt up just because Lord Ayato tried to cook one time? One time!!"
