Third Person POV
"Wow..." Aether uttered lowly after [Reader] finished telling over again how her life in Inazuma has been up to the last detail.
"I know, right?" She hummed understandingly. "Just take it in."
[Reader] observed Aether the entire time she shared, wondering how the man would react in anything she said.
She admit it was unexpectedly funny how Aether's face became so expressive as the story unfolds, continuously contorting to disbelief or interest as words left her mouth.
If [Reader] didn't know any better, he was so immersed that she felt like she was in one of those camping activities where they tell horror stories and spook one another.
"....Wow."
"Pfft don't you have anything better to say than that?" [Reader] laughed out.
"Well what am I supposed to say? That sucks?" Aether was clueless what to say.
"Don't look at me." [Reader] shook her head. "I'm just as lost as you are."
"I-I'm speechless." Aether stuttered out.
"I get that but..." She blinked twice. "How about letting me the fuck go, you airhead? You've been clinging on me the entire time I've been telling what I've been doing in Inazuma."
That was true, he's been hugging her like a deprived child since earlier and she was growing weary from how tight he was holding her.
He hissed. "You expect me to let go after hearing the horrifying experience you went through? NO."
She deadpanned. "Wasn't your story earlier about saving Sumeru much more terrifying than mine? And yet I didn't cling on you like a damn baby."
Aether sighed comically and hugged her waist tightly while laying his head on her lap. "But I missed you!"
