"We meet again, [Reader]."

Ah...

This was the same voice that she wished she will never hear,

The same icy-cold void that had her coiling like a spring as a chill travelled her spine,

And the same never-ending blackness that had her wishing that this would end sooner that it would.

An all too familiar place that she dreaded ever visiting.

[Reader] wished she could close her eyes forever, but she had to face this damned place sooner or later.

She promised herself she wouldn't turn tail and cowardly run away.

She exhaled the same time she fluttered her eyes open. "Yes indeed, it has been a while...Pandora."

Just like the last time she saw Pandora, the entity had a mist-like form. Even now, [Reader] still doesn't know what was up with her appearance, or if she could manipulate how she looked like if she wills it, but she didn't dare question.

All she knew was that Pandora was a presence she couldn't take lightly, and that from the way she carry herself, it would be no problem for her to emit murderous intent.

Yet it kept [Reader] thinking, doubting, questioning.

Why was she making her choose?

What reason could Pandora have that she was so keen on making [Reader] suffer and decide between two equally important worlds?

Why was this happening to her?

[Reader] had a lot of unanswered questions.

And the fact that Pandora's condescending smirk grew as [Reader] shrunk under her gaze let her know that Pandora could read her mind.

Pandora was sure having an exhilarating fun at [Reader]'s demise as it boggled her mind endlessly.

"I suppose you're here to make me decide again." [Reader] coughed out, holding on to the tiny hope that Pandora won't boast her big mouth and ridicule her.

Pandora grinned and immediately summoned the same portals that she saw the last time. "Always quick on your feet...but alas, where will it take you this time? Even the slightest point and movement of your feet tells me just what world you're planning to enter."

Cue her taunting and her frequent villainous cackling, making [Reader] think that this must be how she normally acted.

As she did before, [Reader] observed both portals. One showed Yae and Ei peacefully sleeping on her bed as the ship they were on rocked from the waves of the ocean...

And the other showed her sister,

Sitting beside her hospital bed while cutting apple slices with a gentle smile.

[Reader]'s eyes watered as her chest rose from her long breath of longing, smiling at the sight of her little sister acting all grown up.

In all honesty, Celestine is not a little kid anymore. They were only five years apart, and she already knows how to do a lot of things. But [Reader] still think of her as the little sister she adores and would try to spoil her if she could.

All this time that she's been worried how Celestine was holding up after being left alone, the girl was doing better than she expected.

This is what [Reader] wanted the most. To see Celestine up and well again, to the point that she was already itching to wake up from that hospital bed and hug her sister tight in her arms like she always would.
