(Oh my god chapter ten... I really hope this blows up because I'm just cranking through these chapters like it's nothing :) )

Eddie has his hand out the window tapping along to Steve's song choice. 'Heat of the Moment' by Asia was blasting through the radio. Robin and Dustin were in the back minding their own business. Robin had made Steve stop at a diner to get coffee to go so she was caffeinated. Steve refused to let Dustin have coffee so he was drinking an orange juice. Eddie grabbed Steve's hand with his other hand. "Is this our song?" He joked. Steve turned his head a bit to look at Eddie.
"This is a good song. It could be." He smiled and looked forward again. His face started to feel hot like he was blushing. They have a song? Steve was internally freaking out but he wouldn't let anyone see that. "When are you going to make me a mix tape, Munson?" Eddie smiled and squeezed Steve's hand.
"Whenever you want, lover boy," Eddie's eyes got huge. "That would be a good song to put on your mixtape."
"Gross! Gag me with a spoon, I swear!" Robin stuck her head between the two front seats. "Can you guys keep it PG?"
"Believe me, Robin. This is mild for us." Eddie put his arm on the back of Steve's seat. He fiddled with the chain around Steve's neck. "What if I need that guitar pic and I didn't have it because you have it?"
"Then deal?" Steve looked over at Eddie with furrowed eyebrows.
"Hm someone is sassy today." Robin was still a part of the conversation.
"Oh my god, Robin. Let me tell you everything Eddie and I did last night..." Steve turned around and smiled sarcastically. Robin gagged and covered her ears. "Yeah that's what I thought."
"What did you guys do?" Dustin said from the back seat still fiddling with his robot.
"Seriously?" Steve glared at Dustin. "Nothing, stupid." 'Talking in your sleep' by The Romantics started playing. Steve turned up the radio and hummed along to it. "I hear the secrets that you keep when you're talking in your sleep." Steve sang along mocking the lead singers voice. Eddie smiled and stared forward.

Steve was still driving. He was keeping track of all the billboards they passed. Some were for food, some were for drunk driving awareness. He would glance up at them then back at the road. It was the only thing keeping him going at this point. He was exhausted of the road. The music was often way too metal for his liking and his only sources of entertainment was asleep. Eddie was awake but he was scribbling on the back of a receipt all the songs he wanted to put in Steve's mix tape. He looked at Steve then would scribble another title down. Steve tried to peak over at the list but every time he did Eddie would tilt the paper so he couldn't see it. Eddie was going to give it to Steve for his birthday. It was sometime next month so he had to be ready for it by then. Steve couldn't get Eddie's words from last night out of his head. He just replayed their conversation in his head over and over again.
"Hey... babe..." Eddie paused for a second. "Nope, I don't like that... Sweetheart? Lover? Hon? Nope I don't like it." Eddie looked down at the paper.
"What are you doing?" Steve gave Eddie a puzzled look. "Are you trying to figure out what to call me?"
"Yeah. None of them feel right. Wait..." he smiled flirtatiously. "Big boy." Steve's face got red. He gripped the steering wheel harder. "Yeah that one feels right. Doesn't it, big boy?"
"Eddie, shut up before I pull the car over." He looked at Eddie over his sunglasses that were on the tip of his nose.
"You only wear those to look cool."
"Yeah basically. It's not even sunny out." Steve let out a little laugh.

Steve pulled into a parking lot. He yawned and turned to see Robin staring out the window. "Trade?" He questioned hoping to god she would say yes.
"I guess. We don't want you almost wrecking again." They traded places like they did last time. Eddie and Steve in the back, Dustin and Robin in the front. Steve laid his head down on Eddie's shoulder. The leather jacket Eddie was wearing was cold against his face. Eddie put his hand on Steve's cheek.
"Your mix tape is gonna be killer." He whispered to Steve. Steve smiled and looked at him. Even though standing up Steve towered over Eddie, it was nice to be the smaller one when sitting. Steve could see every single individual eyelash when the light hit Eddie's eyes perfectly. Eddie's eyes met Steve's.
"I love... your eyes." Steve's heart raced. He couldn't stop staring at Eddie. How could he almost say that? How could he look Eddie in the eyes and  almost say that? The three little words that could turn everything upside down or build everything back up at the same time. Steve's fingers interlocked with Eddie's. Eddie knew what Steve was about to say. His heart melted and he couldn't help but smile. Would he be upset if Steve said it? No. There was no possible reason why Eddie wouldn't say it back but if Steve wasn't ready then he wasn't going to push his buttons. There was an odd feeling in Steve's stomach now.
"Okay, lover boy." Eddie ran his fingers through Steve's hair. "You got some fly aways." Steve immediately perked up and looked at himself in the rear view. He licked his hands and slicked his hair back.
"Maybe because you can't keep your hands off me." Steve said with a smirk. Robin groaned as Steve turned and crawled on top of Eddie.
"Okay first of all, you're not wearing your seatbelts. Second of all, I will wreck this car right now if I see man nipples out." She looked over at Dustin for backup. He remained silent.
"Sounds like a deal." Steve said as he slid his hands up Eddie's shirt to feel his warm skin. Their lips connected and Steve added a little tongue this time to spice things up. Eddie put his hand behind Steve's ear to hold him in place.
"We're making Robin uncomfortable." Eddie said into Steve's mouth. Steve shrugged and continued to roughly kiss Eddie.
"Correction, you're making Robin suicidal." She said from the front seat. She kept her eyes on the road trying not to listen to their kissing noises. Dustin smiled and purred at Robin. This made her gag.
