Chapter 8 (SANEMI'S POV)

(Ready for a crap fighting scene?? I am! 🥲)

(POV; Shinazugawa Sanemi)

We both eventually came up on a demon, it turned its head and grinned at us.
"Ooh—hoo! Water Slayer did you bring friends~~~?" It's voice a high pitched and happy.

Out of nowhere Giyuu half fell half landed near us. His knee hit the ground, even if he was in a low crouch it looks like it pained him. And I forgot to mention, he was covered in blood.

Blood.. that's what let's you know you could die. I've seen it so much when I get harmed it doesn't bother me.. but this. This is different.

Anger was coursing through my veins. I pulled myself into stance.

"Tomioka, what do you know about this asshole so I can cut his head off as quick as possible." I spoke quickly. The demon just laughed.

"Why don't you.. find out!" It lashed poison at me, somehow it directly went at me, who was standing between Kocho and Giyuu. The poison was quick, but I was faster. I quickly move out the way but it followed me like a misele. I got hit off-guard and plunked over. The poison went into my arm so I could prevent it from coming to my heart.

It took me a long moment before I realized Kocho was yelling at me. "Shinazugawa—San! Try and get behind him so.. you know!" I thunked myself in the head, of course! Eh, she's the poison person here, the only poison I will deal with is my blood.

The demon cackled, like a elder with cold.

"Disgusting! People fear you since your so ugly! Not your power! You don't even sound like a male!" I tried to get on it's nerves.

It was working, the demon made an "eh?" noise then furrowed it's brow. It immediately shot two poison darts at me, as in darts I mean sword size.

I quickly ran behind the demon but the went over the demon. I deflected them with my blade. "Eh!? Think your smart little girl?!" Her face lowered in response, all I could do was exchange a look with Giyuu who backed away from her. All our eyes said was, shit your screwed.

She looked at them, "Little?" She tilted her head back.

In a complete flash she was at the demon sawing it's arm in half, her poison instantly going in. I quickly ran up to it from behind and went at it's neck.

Surprisingly I wasn't the only person who got that idea. Giyuu was on the opposite side cutting the other end of it's neck.

The demon didn't go down that easily though, we were almost there until it revealed spikes lining it's arm and jabbed them into my stomach. I launched back a good foot then tried to run back, the poison slowed me a good bit.

The demon was already striking again, kicking Giyuu into a tree with great strength. I knew he was out of the battle for now, he seemed to have drawn a breath then fainted. Kocho got out of the way before then Demon got her.

"Shinazugawa! Can you keep the demon off while I aid Tomioka??" She yelled dodging a hit. I grunted then hit the demon from behind. "Yeah! I'm not weak Kocho!" The demon had slowed down since it inhaled my blood's scent.

I had two barbs in my stomach from when I got stabbed in the stomach, this would of killed the normal person by now, but we were taught how to stop the bleeding.

I quickly ran at the demon slicing it's arm off quickly. "You think your so smart!? Thinking you can kill me easily!?" The demon shot more poison at me and I deflected it.

I peaked slightly at where Giyuu was shot to and Kocho was there trying to stop bleeding, the demon looked at me and grinned going after them, I noticed immediately and blocked it's way. "If your going after the injured, that shows you weakness!" The demon just grinned "Oh, my weakness? I was just going after yours!" It cackled.

I lowered my head and laughed, "Idiot, I have no weakness." I knew I was lying, but I had a tactic of causing fear so I can attack. It worked for a split second so I took it as an advantage and went behind the demon quickly cutting its head. "That worked easier than I thought."

The demon started yelling something about it being unfair since I did it so easily but I didn't listen. I walked back to Kocho and Giyuu. "He's alive Hm?" I crouched down to where Kocho was sitting. She nodded quietly then turned to me, "Could you carry him back?"

I shot her a "are you putting us together" look and she just grinned.

I ended up picking him up, I wrapped my arm around his legs and the other around his neck.

"You're going to pay for this Butterfly Bitch."

"Shinazugawa—San, it's not nice to call people rude names."

I huffed in response, she was back to her annoying personality. The poison quick me having a comeback and we walked the rest of the way in silence, every once in awhile Kocho checking on me and Giyuu.

(Probably the longest chapter yet, 885 words exactly)
