Chapter twelve

(What is the meaning of life? Cause I have no idea myself)

Everything sounded murky. Thea wasn't completely sure where she was or how she ended up there, but it was comfortable.
Her mind was empty. She couldn't quite remember what had happened to land her there. She couldn't open her eyes either.

Then it all came to her. The cyclops. The fall. She had been completely useless. The one who had been on most quests.
And all she had done was break her arm and get hit by a cyclops. Not to mention she felt terrible.
The effects of shadow travelling was still there and even though she was "asleep" she felt more tired than usual.

After a good minute of murky sounds, she finally picked up on what was being said.

"I don't know if she's completely unkillable,"
It was Leo speaking, but Thea didn't know who the boy was talking about,
"but she cannot be defeated by toilet seats. I can vouch for that. She wanted me to betray you guys, and I was like, "Pfft, right, I'm gonna listen to a face in
the potty sludge."

"She's trying to divide us." This time it was Piper speaking, and Thea felt arms tense around her.
She hadn't noticed, but someone was holding her.

"What's wrong?" It was Blondie who asked.
Thea could recognise all the voices, but her eyes refused to open.

"I just.. Why are they toying with us? Who is this lady, and how is she connected to Enceladus?"

'Lady?' Thea though. 'Could it be the same one...'

"Enceladus?" Blondie asked.
The name was familiar, and Thea knew exactly who he was.
Her and Persephone had done some reading about the giant war one time, something that stuck to her brain.

"I mean ..." Piper's voice quavered. She was hiding something. "That's one of the giants. Just one of the names I could remember."

There was definitely more to it, and Thea longed to know. She fought against her own exhaustion. She needed to help.
"Well, I dunno about Enchiladas -"

"Enceladus." Everyone was shocked as the new voice joined the talk.
"It's Enceladus, not Enchiladas, no matter how much better that would be."

Thea cringed at her own voice. She forced open her eyelids and tried to push herself into a more comfortable position.
That didn't work, however, as the only thing she got from it was an insane wave of pain running up her arm.
