As the sun beams in through the sheer curtains I look up at him. He's continued his antics of hogging the blanket if I'm not close enough, he's continued giving me those sweet looks, but most importantly he's continued trying to let me understand how valid my feelings are. I can't understand how I got so lucky. I caress his cheek as he sleeps, not being able to get over his beauty. Every part of him is perfected, from every scar to mole on his body. My hand gently moves from his cheek to his lips, softly grazing them. His eyes flutter open, a small smile escaping my me. I gently peck his lips before snuggling back into his arms. "Good morning." He chuckles, stroking my hair.

"Can't get enough of me can you?" His hand trails from my hair to my back, then up and down in the same motion. My smile grows warmly.

"We've spent more time in this bed cuddling than outside, what do you think?" The arm I've laid over his chest brings me closer to him when I try to hold onto him tighter. He sighs content.

"What I think is that we should go get breakfast before it becomes brunch." I slightly grumble, getting off of his chest. I stretch while yawning. I put on some comfy but casual clothes and follow him out. We head down to the dining room of the hotel, the breakfast bar having been open for a while. I go to the cereal side, making myself a bowl before finding a seat. The ambiance has been nice, the sun always shining through the glass roof. I watch as kids run and parents turn red with anger or embarrassment. Diluc eventually sits down with me, his plate with bacon and some pancakes with syrup. I smile as I start to eat my cereal.

"I'm sad this is almost over, I certainly won't be missing breakfast much." I couldn't stomach those fluffy eggs and while cereal isn't bad it's the same sugary or honey flavor every morning. Diluc placed his hand over mine, I look up at him.

"Just because this vacation is almost over doesn't mean I'll stop paying attention to you again. If I do, I give you permission to slap me." He gives me a chuckle and starts to eat. I just silently nod in acknowledgement. I am somewhat worried about what it'll be like to go back, but I know I can talk to him if anything else arises.

By mid-day we're walking along the shore, mostly vacant surprisingly. I hold his hand tightly, just enjoying his company in silence. I pick up a red shell and hold it up to his eyes. "Look, it's the color of your eyes." He laughs, picking up a (e/c) colored shell.

"Then this one would match yours." We switch shells, my gaze lingering at the shell. A warm smile and pink hue washing over my face.

"When was the last time we were like this..?" I snort, turning into full laughter.

"Like what?" He looks at me curiously. I squeeze his hand tighter.

"So lovey dovey.. probably back in our college days.. If anything, we really needed that fight." I pocket the shell, smiling at the sea. I sigh with relief, looking back at him. A small smile having crept onto his lips. "Do you remember how I used to ramble for hours about painting, yet I was stuck with that stupid major.. So much to change, but seeing where we're at I'm happy." He ruffles my hair chuckling.

"Don't get so sappy, I'm not sure my heart can take it when you have that face." He pushes my hat down to my eyes, trying to hide his blush from my view.

We decide to order room service for dinner and a bottle of wine. I lay on his chest, relaxing as he strokes my hair. His face is as calm as always but even so his resting face has some features that scream anger. His gentle touch contrasts it all however. I kiss his chest, snuggling back into him. Room service eventually knocks, to which I roll off of him and stare up at the ceiling. Diluc brings over the dinner to the side of the bed, tipping the man who brought over room service. I open the wine and look at him a little concerned. "What is it?"

"You don't usually drink, you don't have to drink just because we're on vacation you know." He smiles softly with a chuckle.

"You're right, I don't usually, but it is a special occasion for us. I'll only be having a glass anyways, you can enjoy the rest." He pats my head, giving me a reassuring smile.

We eat dinner, laughing about old times and talking about what we'll be doing tomorrow. Once bed time rolls around I snuggle into him, never having been so relaxed before. He places soft kisses on my head, stroking my hair to get me to sleep. "I love you, Luc." His hand stops, making me look to his eyes. They're widened slightly before turning into a tender look.

"I can't remember the last time you called me that. I love you too, sweetheart. Goodnight."
