"I'll join the Paw Patrol," Sweetie said, which surprised Chase. But he nodded and smiled.
"I knew Ryder had these thoughts some time ago, and I'll surprise you, I was the only one that agreed. The others were...let's say not positive about it." Chase said. as he looked up to the sky. Sweetie's smile slowly faded away, just when she heard the others still somewhat hated her.
"But, I could still help you all." Sweetie defended herself to which Chase just moved her closer to her and nuzzled her. She closed her eyes and made herself comfortable on his side.
"I know you can," Chase said, leaning his head on hers. He was angry at his friends that they still hated her, even though she did change. Ryder and Chase always tried to change them to be better, and always taught them to be good to others and give them second chance.
Sweetie tried to not think about it and tried to enjoy the time she had with Chase, who was finally something more than a friend to her. Now, being flirtatious with him was an option and she couldn't be happier.
"Let's go to the lookout," Chase said after a long time of being quiet, to which Sweetie almost fell asleep.
"Noooo, few more minutes?" "I'll carry you there, okay?" Chase gave her a suggestion, to which she couldn't say no. She nodded, still not getting up, so Chase lifted her up with his muzzle and slid her down on his back. Sweetie didn't move an inch and continued resting on his back while Chase carried her towards the lookout. Being extra careful not to let her fall down was the top priority for him now because he didn't want to lose his beautiful...girlfriend? He did not ask her that yet.
He got into the driveway of the lookout property and saw some of his friends playing with frisbee. They also saw him and went to greet him but he put his paw on his mouth, indicating to them to shut up, as he already heard snoring when they got off the bridge. Ignoring the faces he saw he made his way to his pup house and got inside.
Chase laid the girl he had on him down and looked at her as Sweetie was peacefully sleeping. Many would use the opportunity he had now, but Chase was normal and would never do it, and surely not if she is asleep. He loved her so much and could never hurt her. Chase just laid down right next to her and wrapped her in a hug. Slowly closing his eyes, he looked at her and smiled, falling into the dreamland.
The next day...
Chase woke up to see himself wrapped around Sweetie as most as someone could. But he just smiled, knowing she wouldn't mind anyway. Relaxing and continuing holding the treasure in his paws, he just looked into the roof of the pup house they were in.
After some time, and knowing he needed to get up soon, Sweetie started waking up. She rubbed her on his shoulder, still having her eyes closed. Snuggling up to the german shepherd, she let out a small yawn and slowly opened her eyes.
"Good morning Sweetie," Chase said, rubbing her paw.
"Good morn*yawn*ing to you too," Sweetie said in her morning voice. "When did we arrive?"
"Very, very soon. And we slept till today. It's about 6 o'clock in the morning." Chase explained, giving Sweetie a small lick on the head. "And we need to get up."
Sweetie grumpily nodded and with Chase left his pup house. Chase walked over to all the pup houses and with the help of Sweetie woke easily everyone up. They all walked together inside to get breakfast, and soon all as teammates.
"Pups, do you have anything planned for today?" Ryder said as he finished his breakfast. Everyone shook their heads, but Chase did not. Ryder quietly sighed in relief and smiled.
