Sunoo's POV
I went back home after that incident. It's obvious what he was now that I think about it. This guy must be helping the person who kidnapped Jungwon. Anger flows through me. How can people- well not even people, do such things? How can they be so evil?? I don't care what that hot blonde said, that's my best friend and I'm not going to let anything more bad things happen to him. He's been through enough already. Before I go back out, I make myself a wooden stake. The wood-making class my parents forced me to take was paying off. It took me less than ten minutes to make it.
I eye my work, making sure it was nice and sharp to go right into their hearts. Today I was going to get my best friend back. I grab my bag with everything inside and leave my house. Ni-Ki hadn't called or texted more anymore today, so I don't know where he is. I thought about asking him to come with me, but that might cause some more problems. I should have called for the police sooner, but I guess I couldn't register the fact that my friend was gone, so I didn't.
I walk and walk until I am finally there. I don't hesitate to go into the woods. As I walk, the wind in my ears sounds loud, as if I were running. I turn around and it looks like I've only taken 10 steps. I continue forward, a feeling of fear starting to creep in. The air suddenly feels cold around me and I begin to shiver. I put my jacket on and keep moving forward. Whatever this vampire was trying to do was not going to stop me. "Then I guess I'll have to do it myself." A voice behind me says. I freeze. I slowly turn myself around.
It was that blonde again. My throat suddenly felt dry. His eyes seem to be on fire, and I don't think I need to explain that he may be stronger than me. Most likely. He smirks at my frozen in fear figure. "I told you to stay away, didn't I?" He asks. I was scared to answer. But this fear wasn't coming from me. Something else was causes me to feel this way. He must be playing with my mind. I can't let this happen. I think about Jungwon, stuck with some unruly vampire, whose doing who knows what to him right now. The same anger I had at home was started to rise again.
The blonde stands there, with a challenging look on his face. I slowly reach into my pocket for the stake I had made. He watches my hand and looks back at me. "Bring it on, Sunoo." I hesitate from the shock that he knows my name. But that was nothing to worry about right now. I'm about to fight a vampire. I run towards him, stake in hand, ready to stab, but he moves too quickly. He teleported. I look around me, but I couldn't find him. "W-Where did you go?!?" "Right behind you," He says, pushing me to the ground. I fall, my face almost hitting the ground, but my hands caught me. I was about to get up again, but he kicked me in the side, knocking me back down.
I groan at the throbbing pain I was feeling, but I couldn't stop. I sweep my leg, hitting his, causing him to fall. I get up and get on top of him. I struggle to stab him, his hands grabbing harshly onto my wrist. He twists my wrist; I scream in pain and drop the stake on the side. He turns us over and we start the wrestling over again. "Give up, mortal." "N-never!" I yell. I kick him where the sun never shines and push him. "AH! You b*tch!" He says. I kick him in the stomach. He hunches over and his back hits a nearby tree.
I grab the stake and run over to him again. And I fail again. His hand barely touches me, but it causes me to fly back. I hit the ground with a loud 'thud'. I groan at the pain I was now feeling in my back. The stake was no longer in my hand again as it flew somewhere. He walks over to me perfectly fine like I didn't just hit him in two places that hurt the most. He grabs my face, his sharp nails digging into my skin. Tears prick in my eyes. "I had fun playing with you, Sunoo. But I think we should end this here, yes?" He unzips my jacket and traces a finger along my neck. I sallow hard. His face goes down to my neck, his hot breath tickling the small hairs on my neck. His lips planted small kisses on me, causing me to shiver.
"P-please don't. I just w-want my friend b-back." The blonde breaths seemed to stop for a second. Before any more could happen, he was knocked off me. I look and I see an angry and worried Ni-Ki. "Go Sunoo! Just run!" He yells at me. I weakly get up and run as fast as I can. What just happened? Why didn't he just bite me? And why and how did Ni-Ki find me? I look up ahead and see a small house ahead. It feels like all the pain I had just experienced subsided. Jungwon must be in there.
I hurry over to the door. Bang, bang, bang. I run into the door until it opens. The final time it does, and I crash into a table, knocking a vase over with a crash. I probably should have made a quieter entrance, now all of China knows I'm here (I'm sorry I had to). In all honesty, I don't really have a plan. I didn't expect to have to fight for my life with a vampire and now I have to rescue my friend from one. Jungwon better buy me a year's worth of mint chocolate after this.
I look around. I don't hear or see anyone. I walk over to the couch and flop down on it, tired. I rub my hand over my face. Blood stains. I sallow as I look at it. It's probably a bad idea to have blood visible like this in a house or woods with vampires. I walk over to a door and open it. Luckily it was a bathroom, with no one in it. I close and lock the door. I grab a cloth and wet it. I rub my face with the blood on it. I look at the side of my face. It had two scar lines on it. Hopeful those won't stay there forever. I stop moving when I hear a voice. But it was coming from below me. I couldn't hear what they were saying, the sound was muffled, but I could tell it wasn't Jungwon's voice.
I walk carefully out of the bathroom, trying not to step on any creeks on the floor. I try to listen and follow the voice. I walk towards the front door. There was one door to the left of it. I noticed it when I first entered but thought it was a closet. I hear a shuffling and I contain my gasp. I swing the door wide open and see someone with a surprised look on his face turn to me. I didn't see Jungwon, and anger arose. This guy didn't look as scary as the first vampire I encounter, but they're all the same.
