LATE nang nakauwi si Daphne kagabi dahil tinapos nila ni Nomer ang technical sketches ng kanilang design para na rin ma-finalize ang tech pack. Kailangan na maipadala ang tech pack sa factory para sa sourcing ng kanilang gagamitin sa design.
Dahil nga late na siya nakauwi ay late na din siya nakapasok kinabukasan. Kakalapag pa lamang niya ng kanyang gamit sa mesa nang may pumasok s akanyang office. It was Nomer.
Sandali siyang natigilan at naalala ang naging pag-uusap nila kagabi. Nagkatinginan sila na kapwa sinusuri ang reaksyon ng bawat isa. She gave him a gentle smile to erase the hesitation she's seeing in his face.
"I thought something happened to you." Bakas ang pag-aalala sa mukha nito na lumapit sa mesa niya.
Last night was a nice night for Nomer and Daphne. Masasabi na din na nagkaroon sila ng closure dahil sa naging pag-uusap nila. Although may mga bagay na hindi pa din nabibigyang linaw pero so far okay na sila ngayon. Tulad ng sinabi ni Nomer na magsisimula silang muli.
Kung paano? Well, sa tingin ni Daphne ay magsisimula sila as friends.
Nginitian ni Daphne ang binata. Yes, confirm. Binata pa si Nomer pero hindi niya tiyak kung available pa ito.
"Late ako nagising kaya late na din ako nakapasok pero okay naman na ang lahat." Inilabas niya mula sa office bag ang makapal na folder. "I have already prepared the tech pack. We'll just meet the development team so that they can start with the sourcing and we can make the sample as soon as the fabrics are ready."
Nomer looked at her with amusement in his eyes.
"You did all of these in just one night?" Hindi makapaniwala si Nomer na nagawa iyon ni Daphne ng isang gabi lamang.
"Oo naman. It's not that hard." Daphne kidded, smiling.
"MaVie is really grateful to have you."
Other designer would take two or three days to finish the tech pack but for Daphne it seems like it's just a piece of cake. Iba talaga kapag gusto mo ang ginagawa mo.
Katulad nga ng sinabi ni Daphne, they had a meeting with the development team together with Danzel. As they expected, everyone was amazed with their designs.
"The designs are stunningly wonderful." Danzel exclaimed. "You two have a good chemistry and it shows in your designs. I bet with all my family's wealth that the auction will be a blast in the fashion industry."
"You're kidding, right?" Daphne asked, looking at Danzel who paused and stared at her.
He is serious with what he said, Daphne thought.
Nagkatinginan ang lahat ng nasa conference room saka tumingin kay Daphne. Even Nomer looked at her smirking.
"Of course he's kidding." Natatawang inakbayan ni Nomer si Danzel. "Danzel always say things seriously but he's actually joking."
"He's always joking, Ms. Torres. Masanay ka na." Imik ng isa sa member ng team na kinagulat ni Daphne.
"Nakakapagsalita ka ng Tagalog?" Hindi makapaniwala niyang tanong sa umimik na staff.
"Oo naman po. I'm a Filipino so I speak Filipino."
"Oh my God," she exclaimed. "Akala ko kami lang ni Nomer at Danzel ang Filipino dito."
"Hindi mo po alam na mga Pinoy din kami, Ms. Torres?" Isang staff ang nagsalita na mas ikinagulat at ikinatuwa ni Daphne.
"Lahat po ng empleyado dito sa MaVie ay Pinoy, Ms. Daphne." Levi stated, smiling at her. "Hindi po nagha-hire si Mr. Nomer ng hindi Pinoy."
