Silvermist
The sound of the wind passed through her ears softly as they reached the open meadow, where they can see a sign that they'd already crossed the line, the outside of the borders of Highbourne... of Star Camp.
Silvermist removed the black mask she was wearing to breathe properly and looked back from where they came with longing and guilt, reflecting everything.
I'm so sorry, Sid... and all of the star members.
She knew that this day would come – the day she needs to fulfill her mission as a member of the Hale family. It was part of the mission to get along with the people of Star Camp, to earn their trust, especially the Headmistress and the star members.
At first, she faked her kindness and sincerity. She was not used to it because it was not her thing at all before she entered Star Camp. If she'll compares her past self to now, it really made a big difference and that's because of the influence of star members on her.
They were so nice to her and it made her think about what would be like to become a good person like them. Is it easy? Is it hard? Will you also attract good things and people around you? Or will it only bring you into more danger?
That curiosity of her leads her to what she is now. She didn't even notice she was becoming a good human being, doing and saying nice things without hesitating and without holding back.
She met the star members... and Sid came into her life like a fire that didn't stop moving to melt her frozen heart and soul, effortlessly took down her walls she built brick by brick.
She grew up and lived for years without someone, not even her own parents, taught her to love and be loved in return, until she met them and learned the true meaning of life... of love.
That is why it became hard for her to do and continue her mission. She was afraid to betray and leave them because they already mean so much to her. If only she knew it will become like this, she should've just faked her feelings from the beginning.
"Sil..."
Silvermist looked down on the girl whom she treated like her younger sister even though they were really cousins, the one who also became her reason for her happiness and comfort.
Liliana was sitting on the grass and her back leaning against a big rock, still feeling weak after Silvermist teleported her. "You look pale, are you okay?" She asked, struggling to sit properly.
Silvermist clenched her fist, her eyes started to get teary while looking at her.
You should be worried about yourself, but why are you still worried about me? Please stop...
"I didn't expect the one who's closest and so dear to me... is an enemy." Liliana seems to have difficulty speaking, but she still said those word by word. "History really did repeat itself, huh?"
Silvermist stayed quiet and just listened to her.
"I am not as worth as the fifth element. I'm not even a pure Salvatore. You, Hales, already took it... so why also take me from my mother? I... I'm the only one she has." Her voice cracked, like it hurt for her to finally say the truth.
"Sil... I know you. You're a good person."
Tears started to run down from Silvermist's eyes after hearing those words. Liliana knows her more than she knows herself and that hit her so hard. "You could've just teleported me straight to Hale's nest, but you took me here first outside the border... because I know you're hesitating." She added and smiled. "Sil –"
