Chapter 17:

I woke up groggily to my alarm going off at 7, and I snoozed it and went back to sleep. Sometime later I was being woken up by yelling and clapping.
I groaned and opened my eyes to see Corey and Jake running around the room, Corey jumping on the bed. "Wakey Wakey Kara! Time for ghost hunting!"

I laughed and rubbed my eyes. "Okay okay, I'm up" I said in a gravely voice. I sat up and Corey jumped down and sat next to me on the bed. "Everyone's up besides Colby, we tried to wake him up but he's out. We are gonna go get breakfast."

Breakfast sounded good. I got up and put my hair in a bun, and we all walked into the boys' room and I saw Colby passed out on his bed, Sam already up on his phone next to him. He looked up at me. "Dude how late did you guys stay up? Colby's not budging." I laughed, "till like 3. We got caught up watching family feud."

I went and sat down next to Colby and I laid my hand on his side. "Colby...Colby!" I said as I shook his body back and forth. He groaned and went to turn over but I stopped him. "Colby it's time to get up" I said sternly.

He squinted his eyes open and when he saw me he shut his eyes again. "Is it that time already" he mumbled. "Yep, we are getting breakfast so you have like two minutes to get up and ready."

He sighed and shot up, rubbing his face. He was shirtless and in his boxers. I got up off the bed so he could get up. He stood up and made his way towards the bathroom. "Bro there's a girl here, you're almost naked!" Corey yelled in his funny tone. Colby waved a hand as he closed the bathroom door. Nothing I haven't seen before...

"He's so grumpy in the morning" Jake said as he put his wallet in his back pocket. After a minute Colby came back out and grabbed his jeans off the floor. He put those on and grabbed a black muscle shirt from his bag and threw it on, he looked so cute with his messy hair. "10, 9, 8, 7..." the boys were yelling as Colby grabbed his shoes, "these shoes are gonna take longer than that" Colby said as he untied one of his converse.

"Well we'll meet you down there" Corey said and they all walked out the door.

"They can't wait another minute? Jesus" Colby mumbled and he slipped his shoe on.

As he tied it I knelt down in front of him and started untying the other shoe for him. "What do you expect from a bunch of young adult hungry males" I said.

I heard him laugh, and I got the shoe untied and looked up to see him smiling at me. I handed him his shoe.

"Thank you" he said, leaning forward and giving me a quick kiss.

I didn't realize how close we were until he did that, it happened so fast. He looked down and put the other shoe on, tying it and he stood up. He held out his hand for me and he helped me up, and he held onto my hands. He leaned down and his lips pressed against mine. I smiled and went up on my tip toes to reach better, kissing back. After a few seconds I pulled away.

"I can't get use to that" Colby said under his breath. I smiled, "me either." He laughed as he gestured toward the door. "We should probably get down there."

He dropped my hands as we walked out of the door and made our way downstairs. We made it to the kitchen area where Sam and Corey were already sitting down with their food, and Jake was still grabbing some stuff.
