Sammm can I stay at your place?" Corey whined. Sam rolled his eyes.

"I suppose since I dragged you along tonight. But you're sleeping on the couch."

Corey jumped up and down. "Yay sleepover!" We all laughed and Elton yawned.

"I'm not a scaredy cat so I'm gonna go sleep in my nice comfy bed, peace."

We all said goodnight to him and shortly after Sam and Corey went to leave to Sam's apartment across the hall.

So that left me and Colby standing alone in his kitchen, and my awkward nervousness decided to kick in.
I had only been working for Sam and Colby for a few months, and even though I got along great with them and their friends, I even started filming and editing for Elton too. But being alone with Colby could be intimidating. He's quiet just like me, and when you add mysterious and attractive to the mix it's almost hard to deal with.

I've gotten better at being confident after moving to LA, however, so I knew I wasn't going to say anything stupid or embarrass myself.

He was leaned up against the counter and I was leaned up against the sink diagonally across from him.

As the door closed behind Sam and Corey he was fast at making conversation, which I was thankful for.

"Man what a crazy night" he said with a huge sigh, leaning his head back.

"Yeah, tonight was the first time I've actually been scared" I admitted.

Colby looked up at me and smirked. "Was it too much for you?"

I scoffed. "Ha, it may have scared me but the adrenaline rush is something I've been waiting for. I can't wait to do something like that again."

I was smiling big thinking about everything that happened that night. I glanced over at Colby to see him smiling at the ground.

"Well we are glad to have you with us, you have really helped us out a lot with the work load. Plus you've fit right in with the squad too, the fans love you."

He didn't look up once, I couldn't tell if he was acting shy or if it was just him being Colby, hence his mysterious nature. I blushed nonetheless from the compliments and the gratitude.

"I should be the one thanking you guys, really" I stayed, "You gave me a purpose to be here and start my career, I will forever be grateful for that."

Colby nodded his head slowly. "No problem." It was silent for a few seconds after that, I had to break it.

"Well I'm gonna go so you can get some sleep, it's been a long day."

Colby had to get up early that morning for a photo shoot and he's stated before that those ware him out.
His eyebrows furrowed though and he reached for his phone.

"It's only 10:30, I won't be tired for a while" he said.

He clicked his phone off and as he slid it back in his pocket he looked up at me. "Do you want to stay and chill?"

For some reason my heart skipped a beat. I have stayed and edited with Sam alone before but I've never hung out alone with Colby. Colby is also the guy who pretty much hangs out with just dudes and when he sleeps with girls it's usually a hit and ditch kind of thing.

Not that I thought that was his intention or anything, I couldn't tell. Colby is so hard to read, and I haven't known him long enough to figure him out yet. I shouldn't say that, I feel like whenever I do hang out with him and the guys he does act like his true self, but I know he can be much more quiet and mysterious when he isn't around a lot of people, which is intriguing to me.
