11. Short and Sweet

I woke up groggily, feeling a warm body underneath me. I realized we had not moved since we fell asleep. I slowly slid out of Colby's embrace and out of bed, trying to stretch out my stiff body. I smiled as I looked at him sleeping, he was so cute.

I went and showered quick so I wouldn't have to do it later. When I got out I put on a different pair of shorts and a white crop top, leaving my hair down to dry.

I stood in the hallway then for a few minutes and went to my Instagram, where I had been tagged in a few things from last night. Kat posted the pictures of her on the Ferris wheel and two with me and Devyn, they turned out really cute. I was tagged in a group photo that Sam tagged me in, where we were all sitting around the fire as the sun went down.

I was huddled against Kat with Colby sitting on the other side of me. We all had big smiles. His caption said "friends."

Next I saw I was tagged in Colby's story. His first post was Corey and him at the bowling alley, then there was one of him and Sam and Corey yelling on the Ferris wheel, then came the one of him with me hiding my face in the background. He looked so cute. Next was us rocking out in his car in the middle of the night. I rewatched it like 5 times, I hope he saved that one. I sighed and shut my phone off.

I walked out of the bathroom and I saw Colby awake in the bed looking at his phone. He looked over as I walked in and he smiled big.
"Good morning" he said.

"Morning." I came and sat down next to him on the edge by his legs. He set his phone down and looked up at me with tired eyes. Man I wanted to kiss him. I caught myself looking at his lips, and I quickly looked down and blushed.

"How'd you sleep?" I asked as I played with my rings.

"Amazing" He said as he stretched and started to sit up. He ran his hand through his hair and kept a soft gaze on me as I watched him.

"I think I felt you come up and lay on me a little" he said under his breath with a small playful smirk. The blush increased on my cheeks as I rolled my eyes.

"What pfff, who me? Never" I said in the same soft tone, playing it off smoothly. His smile widened as he licked his lips and nodded his head upwards.

"Come on admit it, I'm a good cuddler."
My heart started to race at his flirtiness.

"Im not afraid to admit it" I said, sitting up straight, "can't hide the facts."
Colby laughed under his breath and sat up all the way, his face now close to mine.

"I may be a good cuddler, but you're a good kisser" he whispered, his eyes flicked down to my lips and back up to my eyes as he held my gaze.

I smiled big as I leaned a little closer to him. "Oh really, how good?"

He looked down at my lips again as he leaned closer, our faces just an inch or two apart. "Why don't you show me?"

My heart raced. I leaned in and pressed my lips softly against his, and he kissed back immediately.

I could feel him smiling against my lips as his hand came up to caress my face. I found this whole thing to be so cute and sweet, how flirty he was being. I felt so warm inside. It made me smile and I pulled back a little, readjusting our lips.

I couldn't get enough of him. I laid my hand on his leg to balance myself as I leaned into him more. His lips pressed harder against mine as we held out a kiss, which he slowly leaned out of. His eyes slowly opened and he let out a short heavy breath.

"Man.. fuck" he breathed as he took his hand away, and he looked away and laughed.

I bit my lip to hide back a smile as I slowly leaned away from him. He was so good looking. I wanted to say it to him but I knew it would be weird. I knew he was fighting with his feelings. I wonder if he couldn't get enough of me either, but he was trying to hide it.

"Are you hungry? I have food to make breakfast if you are" I asked, hoping he'd want to stay a little longer, and also to change the subject. He smiled.

"If you make breakfast as good as you make Alfredo, then yes" he said. I laughed. "Breakfast is my favorite. Are you a scrambled or over easy guy?"
"Over easy all the way."

I got up and went to the kitchen. I started grabbing everything I needed, utensils and food, and I turned on the oven. I was going to make us over easy eggs, baked turkey bacon and some avocado toast.

I heard Colby go into the bathroom, and after a few minutes he walked into the kitchen. "I have some tea going if you want some, otherwise I can make you some coffee" I offered. "Water will be fine today, I don't feel that tired to need caffeine" he said as he went to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water.

"The remotes on the table if you wanna watch something while you wait."
He drank a sip of his water and sat down at the island behind me. "I think I'll just sit and watch you cook so I can see how you make this if that's okay" he said with a smile. I smiled back.

"You're gonna become chef Colby in no time" I joked. He laughed. "I hope so."

I put the bacon on a pan and put it in the oven. I talked my way through what i was doing as I got the bread ready in the toaster and started the eggs. The process only took 10 minutes, and soon enough I had two plates of food ready. "Damn that was so quick and easy" Colby said as I set a plate in front of him.

I handed him the salt and pepper and grabbed my tea and I sat down a chair away from him. He dunked his toast and took a bite, his eyes rolling back. "Mmm I love this" he said with his mouth full. I giggled. "Good, now you can make it yourself."

We continued to eat and joked around, and once we were done and I was cleaning our plates Colby got a phone call.

"Hello" he answered, "hey what's up.... oh I'm not home I-.... Oh shit! Tell them I'll be late but I'll get there as soon as I can, bye." He got up quickly. "I totally forgot I had a shoot for our new merch today, I gotta go."

I felt my face droop a little but I quickly followed with a smile. "Oh yikes, better get going" I said, "do you have all your stuff?"

He patted down his pockets. "I think so. Sorry I have to ditch so quick, thank you for the breakfast" he said as he pulled me into a hug. "And thanks for a fun night." His words muffled into my should and when he pulled back he gave me a quick smile before he walked (ran) out the door.

I smiled and sighed, immediately feeling lonely. I cleaned the dishes and decided to head to the gym.

When I got there I got a snap from Colby, a selfie with a peace sign saying "how do I look?" I wanted to say hot, but instead I said "awesome! I think I gotta get that new T-shirt". It was a cool one, all black with a white collar and cuffs.

I went through my exercise and after an hour I decided to be done. I had another snap from Colby that said "I'll give you one." Aww how nice, I don't have to buy my friends merch, haha.

I sent a picture of the gym and said "do you take cash or credit? 😜"

I made my way back to my room and got in the shower. When I came out I looked at the snap from Colby. He was back at his house, sitting out on his balcony with no shirt, a smirk on his face. The snap read "neither, but I'll take a different kind of payment..."

My stomach turned. All I had on was a towel, and I thought it might be a little risky to send him something. I took a picture of my face, my hair still soaking wet with a strand falling over my left eye. The picture was cut off right below the tattoo on my collar bone. I had a cute smirk on my face.

I wrote "Alright, I'll just bring you myself next time I see you" I laughed at myself and hit send. I watched Colby open it. It took him a minute to reply, so I dried off and put some clothes on. I opened his snap to see him have his eyes closed, a half smirk and holding up the 👌🏻 sign, and it read "perfect." I smiled. What a cutie.
