Saying goodbye is always so hard. Tears were shed and lots of hugs were given, but I told them I'd be back for Christmas which was only in two months. We said our goodbyes and I made my way to the airport.

The flight was long, it felt like it took forever to land. Colby was just going to wait for me outside, so I walked to baggage claim and waited for my bag. While I stood there and looked at my phone I felt a tap on my shoulder. When I turned around I saw Colby standing there, a smile on his face and a large Starbucks coffee in his hand.

He looked so cute, he was in his xplr track sweats and a black t shirt, his hair messy.
"Hey, I got here early so I came in and got you a coffee... I figured you'd need it." I smiled at him. "Aw thanks" I said and I grabbed it from him.

I didn't hesitate as I wrapped my arms around him, letting my free hand lay around his back. I needed that. I felt him lean into the hug and his arms squeezed me tight. We stayed like that for a few seconds until we pulled away, our eyes locking as we dropped our hands. "What kind is it?" I asked as I brought it to my lips. "Pumpkin spice" he said, "I thought it would keep you in the fall spirit." I took a sip and nodded.

"It's really good, thanks for keeping me cliche" I said with a laugh. He smirked and nodded and looked at the belt full of bags. "Is that your bag?" He pointed to the red and black one and I nodded. Before I could take a step to grab it he was already walking over there to grab it.

He wheeled it all the way to the car too, and even opened the door for me. What a gentleman.
I sipped on my coffee as we made our way through all the traffic. We talked about my trip and everything we did while I was there, and I told him about Emily.

He smiled. "Yeah I saw the post you retweeted. What are the chances someone would know who you were in that small town?"

"Right!" I said, "It was crazy."
We were stuck in traffic for a good 20 minutes. "I should have picked a different flight time" I joked.
Colby laughed and looked around. "You wanna stop at that Mexican restaurant, then we can eat and wait out the traffic." I was pretty hungry. "Yeah we can do that if you're hungry" I said. He laughed, "I'm always hungry."

We pulled over and walked inside, it was a decent size restaurant with lots of bright colors. It smelled really good in there too. A waiter brought us to a booth and asked what we wanted to drink. When he walked away we both opened our menus.

"Everything looks so good" I said as I read through everything, "but I love fajitas so I'll probably get those." Colby rubbed his chin in thought. "Those actually sound pretty good, I'll probably get those too."

The waiter came back and took our orders, and we ate chips and salsa and talked while we waited. The salsa was really good. "Dude we should tell Brennan about this place" I said, "it could be one of his unknown rated places." Colby agreed and decided to text him about it.

We got our food and it was huge, we could have split one. It was very good though. When we were done the waiter got our leftovers boxed up and we left. By this point it was about 6 and and we got back on the highway that was not backed up anymore. We started driving and while we were at a stoplight he looked over at me.

"You mind if I come over and chill for a bit? If you wanna unpack and relax that's cool I just..." he paused for too long, and I smiled.

"How about you come over and watch me unpack, then we can chill" I said with a laugh. He laughed under his breath and nodded. "Sounds good to me."

I felt the butterflies in my stomach. He missed me. He just didn't want to admit it. I missed him too, a lot.

We got to my place and he brought my suitcase up for me. We walked into my apartment and I put our leftovers in the fridge, then right away I went over and flopped down on the couch.
