Settling In

Another week passed and I was sitting on my couch with my laptop, looking at the comments on the fourth part of the series. Everyone seemed to love it, and after a while I stumbled on some comments about me.

"Omg Kara's so pretty"
"Kara's hair is gorgeous"
"Kara is so lucky she gets to hang out with the squad like every day"
"Omg who else ships Kara and Colby? They'd be so cute together"
"Anyone else see Colby check Kara out at 12:17?"
"Colby's totally flirting with Kara at 15:10, totally ship it"
"I love how Colby doesn't even try to hide the fact that he likes Kara, it's so obvious"

I went and rewatched the last episode, and man how did I not catch these things? Colby did look like he checked me out, and when he was supposedly flirting he does that with me all the time so I guess I can't tell the difference.

I backed out of the video and clicked my home page, and my eyes went wide. Posted an hour ago was a video from Colby titled "TRUTH OR DRINK ft Kara (things got juicy)"
He never posted that video last week so I didn't think he would post it. I went straight to the comments.
"I SHIP IT"
"They totally banged after this video"
"OMG Colby finally has a crush!"
"I hope they get together they are so cute"
"Colby seems so happy with her awww my heart"
"Get you a man that looks at you the way Colby looks at Kara"

I smiled at all the comments, they were all so nice. I watched the video and it brought me back to that night, making my stomach turn just thinking about it.

Being in the moment I was nervous, drunk, etc. Watching the video, I noticed the way Colby was looking at me and it gave me chills. I didn't really know what was happening. I didn't think I was going to be in a relationship for a long time when I was in LA. I don't think Colby's the relationship type anyway so I don't really need to think about it.

I just wondered if anything more would happen between us. Colby is kind of a player so I'm wondering if he's just trying to get sex from me. On the other hand, I feel like if he wanted to sleep with me he would have asked to come over a long time ago and get it over with. It's all just confusing.

The next day I got a group text from Elton saying that he booked us a night at the resort in Minnesota for next week. I was ecstatic. I called my mom and told her that I'd be visiting and I booked flights to fly in the weekend before so I could spend time with the family for a few days.

Seeing my family was much needed, it was nice to be back home. My mom offered to drive me to the resort so I wouldn't have to rent a car, and she wanted to meet the people I've been hanging out with.

Driving up there, my mom looked over at me. "So are you crushing on any of the guys you hang out with?" She asked, eyebrows raised. I blushed.

"Kind of, I think one of the guys might like me and I might like him, but I'm not really sure." My mom smiled. "You'll have to point him out to me when we get there."

I texted the guys and said we were almost there and Elton said they were waiting in the parking lot cause they just arrived too.
When we pulled up I saw them all standing by the van Elton rented.

"They are right there" I said. My mom started to drive up next to them. "And which one do you like?" She asked. I looked out the window and smiled.

"The one with the blue hair and black shirt." She leaned forward to see him. "Oh now he's cute, and he's smiling at you." I looked out to see he had saw us in the car and was waving, catching everyone else's attention.

We both got out and everyone came over and I introduced my mom, and the guys all introduced themselves. After talking for a few minutes my mom told us all to be safe and she gave me a big hug and we said our goodbyes.
