I curled my toes while I spoke with my face into the pillow.

"When I manage to get free, I'll retaliate. I will obliterate him with all my bitter hate-"

A door click made me stop in an instant. I threw the pillow off my face and got up to a sitting position. And I rolled my eyes when I saw who visited.

Kairos locked the door behind him with a twisted grin. Something in his smile annoyed me. Tuwang tuwa siya. He looks fresh and energized.

For someone who is labeled as the most feared mob boss, he smiles too much. Shouldn't he be cold? Like his brother, Vashka. And I don't know which one is better to feel.

"Leave!" I pointed to the door.

His abs and thighs flexed when he bent down to sit.

And even though the wall is an eyesore to me, I'd still rather look at it than him right now.

"How is your master plan on obliterating me going?" may halakhak sa boses niya kahit hindi naman siya tumatawa.

"Talk about privacy!" I commented. "What? Are there CCTVs here?"

"The walls are thin," he shrugged. "If anything, you should apologize. Sa halip na makapagpahinga, I hear your constantly rambling mouth, planning my murder in rhymes."

I huffed. "Mayaman ka, diba? Hindi ba sound proof 'to?"

"And be left out of my captive's motives? I don't think so. There should be transparency to every relationship." He looked like he wanted to vomit at his words. "Even captors and captives."

The corner of my mouth lifted.

"If this is a relationship, then transparency should be applied on both parties. Care to let me into your motives?" I arched a brow.

His mouth hanged slightly. His brows are joined. I can't help but envy it. How come girls are not blessed with such brows?

Then his mouth curled. He got off the chair and approached me with firm and controlled steps. I was sure I'd bang my head but he must have quick reflexes dahil ang kanyang kamay ang tinamaan ng aking ulo sa halip na ang pader.

My insides shuddered under his scrutiny as he regarded me with silent brutality.

"Poet, ours will never be a normal relationship," aniya sa mababang boses na para bang ipinagdadamot niya ang mga salitang 'yon sa iba.

Tingles spread everywhere. I fought the urge to wet my lips. Ours? Relationship? I hate how my subconscious seems to favor hearing those words in one sentence.

His breath smells intensely minty. And yet another thing about him to be jealous of. Early in the morning and he already looks and smells that clean. I'm usually messy at this time of day. Lalo pa ngayon at wala ako sa sariling bahay.

My cheeks instantly heated. Is it his body warmth from his nakednes or is it really just hot in here?

Disgusted by my thoughts, my palms went to his chest and pushed with as much force as I can. But I only look like a thirsty bitch who wants to feel his skin dahil hindi manlang siya nagalaw sa kanyang pwesto.
