"Do you need to take care of things? Pwede namang sunduin na lang ako rito ng kung sinong available. Mas madali yon kaysa ihahatid mo ako sa bahay at babalik ka pa."

Ayon sa updates ni Vashka, nahuli raw ni Elowyn ang nagsagawa ng assasination attempt. So that means it's safe if he Kairos leaves me here to wait for someone to drive me home.

"Are you serious, Vivendel? Naisakay na kita sa sasakyan ko at naisama rito, you're still insisting that you're willing to wait for one of my men to drive you home?"

I looked outside. Oh. We're already in one of their warehouses. I didn't realize that dahil sa abala kong kumbinsihin siya na h'wag na akong isama dahil alam kong wala naman akong maitutulong.

"And the assassin wasn't the only threat. My enemies would seize the opportunity when you're there out in the open, so you're stuck with me."

Inside the warehouse, I itched to have a look at the one who tried to assassinate us. I can't believe that one of the happiest moments of my life almost became my last breath. Anger mounted inside me as I thought of what I could've lost.

If Elowyn did not catch the assassin in time, hindi lang buhay ko ang maipagkakait sa akin, kundi pati mga pagkakataon. The chance to grow and prove myself, the chance to try to get to know the world that my father did not let me see, and a chance to truly live.

I glanced at my husband through the strands of my hair.

I could have lost time with him. Alam kong hindi ito permanente. But it will hurt me kung nawala ang pagkakataong masulit ko ang ilang buwan ko kasama siya bago niya ako pakawalan.

It was these thoughts which made me decide that however Kairos wishes to punish the assassin, I won't stop him. I'll watch with no remorse.

Unaware of the effects of my rage, nagulat ako nang makita na lang ang sariling nauuna na pala sa paglalakad kaysa kay Kairos. Na parang ako pa ang may planong gawin sa kung sino man ang nagtangka sa aming dalawa.

"Keep walking, wife. I like it when you're vengeful."

Someone who sat on a chair is being dwarfed by Atlas, Gideon, Vashka, and Elowyn, who all stood around, I assume, the assassin.

Upon getting a better view, the assassin wasn't a man, but a short dark blonde haired woman.

Atlas, Gideon, Vashka, and Elowyn gave way to both Kairos and I.

I expected the girl to show the same fear that others have displayed in the presence of the De Cordova brothers. But she did not even pay attention to Kairos. The girl engaged in a glaring match with Atlas.

"Sibley."

The girl's head sliced the air at how sharp she turned to Kairos. For a moment, she lost her demeanor. And that made my husband smirk.

"So we weren't supposed to know your name?" Kairos taunted the girl.

Wait. How did Kairos manage to get information on her on the span of less than twenty minutes drive from the park to this warehouse?

Sibley smirked back. "Oo, Sibley nga ang pangalan ko. Yon lang ba ang dala mong impormasyon?"

"Whoever you work for made sure that nothing else gets exposed."

Sibley scoffed. "Tangina. Masyado lang palang mataas ang tingin ng tao sa mga De Cordova. Maybe you're not as skilled as others made you out to be."

For the first time, Atlas looked just as intense as Kairos and Vashka. There was a mix of both irritation and curiosity in his expression.
