Team JNPR lined up with readied weapons, preparing for the match to begin

Port: three... two... one...

Jaune raised his sword in the sky

Jaune: come on guys!

Port: begin!

All of team JNPR charged in and three of the members from team BRNZ charged too. Team BRNZ's May Zedong, however, turned around and ran the opposite way. Brawnz and Pyrrha were the first to meet in the centre. Brawnz jumped with his knee aimed to Pyrrha's chest. Pyrrha placed her shield in front of her to block it

Pyrrha planted her right foot back and slashed down on Brawnz. Brawnz used his hand-grip claws to lock Pyrrha's sword in place. Pyrrha pushed her shield into Brawnz's face, and he staggers back. Pyrrha attempts to slash him again, but he moves out of the way. When she looks up, she realises that their fourth member was using her weapon to climb a tree

Ren and Nora choose to team up on Team BRNZ's Nolan Porfirio. Nora swings Magnhild at him and he ducks. He then attempts to swing back with his cattle prod, but Nora dodges as well. May Zedong, who had climbed into a tree for cover, aimed down the sight of her sniper and fired

Ren, who was running to help out Nora, stops as he realises that a sniper shot had barely missed him. The sound of the crumbling rocks alerted him, and he tracked the trajectory of the bullet. Jaune raised his shield to block an attack by Roy Stallion's wrist-saws. Jaune then felt wind pass his head as a bullet brushed past him

Jaune quickly darted his eyes across his field of view and saw a glimmer in the distance. Jaune then spotted the sniper and quickly made a decision

Jaune: retreat!

Ren quickly moved from his spot, only for a sniper shot to land where his foot was previously planted. More shots passed the team as they moved back to cover. Jaune and Pyrrha used their shields to block as many shots as possible. Team JNPR jumped over rocks and hid behind them

Pyrrha: what do we do?

Jaune looked over his cover to see the other members of team BRNZ chasing after them

Jaune: spread out! Try to keep moving!

Jaune raised his shield to block an attack from Brawnz. In the tree, May repositioned from one branch to another and aimed down the sight again. Brawnz, who had moved on to fighting Pyrrha, swung down on her. Pyrrha clashed with Brawnz's hand-grip claws

Nolan stood in front of Ren and looked over his shoulder to nod. May nodded back and aimed down her sight on Ren. She fired near Ren's feet, and he reacts by dodging. Nolan took the opportunity to hit Ren over the head with his cattle prod. Ren staggers back, when Nolan charges in again, Ren throws a spin kick his way

Nolan ducks and hits Ren's knee. Nolan then jabs Ren's chest and electricity runs through him. Ren falls on his back and Nora runs next to him

Nora: Ren!

Nora then raises Magnhild and runs towards Nolan. Nora swings down and Nolan dodges. He then jabs Ren and sends electricity through her too. Nora, however, reacts only by growing a wide smile

Port (over intercom): oho, looks like one of my favourite students, Nora Valkyrie is charging up to use her Semblance!

Nolan changes his attention to the large screen showing Professor Port and Doctor Oobleck
