The crowd of Amity Colosseum cheered as the two teams stood face to face, waiting for the battle to start. The holograms appeared around the arena and began spinning to show the chosen habitats

Port: Emerald and Mercury of Haven! Versus! Coco and Yatsuhashi of Beacon

While Mercury and Emerald stood with confident faces, Coco stood with one hand on her hip. Yatsuhashi sat down next to her, with his fists pushed against each other. Yatsuhashi kept his eyes closed until Port finished the announcement. In the crowd the other two members of team CFVY, Fox and Velvet, sat next to Ruby and her friends

Velvet: good luck you two!

The holograms finished randomly choosing the habitats. Each quarter of the outer arena opened up one at a time. The four habitats were, an abandoned and half destroyed city, a forest, a rocky area, and a tall grassland area. As they all rose, geysers from the rocky area burst up. Coco finally took an interest in the other team

Coco: hey...

Coco leaned forward and lowered her sunglasses, quickly scanning Emerald

Coco: love the outfit, kid

Emerald: I'll try not to get blood on it

Yatsuhashi stood up and unsheathed Fulcrum from his back

Yatsuhashi: I can't promise you'll leave without a scratch

Emerald rolled her left shoulder back

Emerald: I won't be the one bleeding

Coco: oh, I like her!

Port: three, two, one, begin!

Without hesitation, Mercury and Emerald backed away into the tall grassland. Both of them disappearing from Coco and Yatsuhashi's view. Yatsuhashi and Coco looked at each other and smiled

Play theme

Coco transforms Gianduja into its minigun state and begins firing at the tall grassland. Continuously firing back and forth over the grass. The tall grass was being cut short because of this. Some stray bullets hit the barrier that protected the crowd and some of the fans braced for cover. Coco stopped firing once the entire grassland area was cut down from the bullets

Yatsuhashi and Coco prepared for an incoming attack once the grass was destroyed, but nothing came. The two looked to each other in confusion and dropped their guard

Blake: look out!

Blake's warning was both not loud enough and too late. Fortunately, Yatsuhashi noticed Mercury's attack from above and pushed Coco out of the way. He then raised Fulcrum and blocked Mercury's attack. Mercury was then pushed off by Yatsuhashi and slides across the ground as he lands. Coco began firing at him, but Mercury was quick to react and began running in a circle around them

Sun: he's good

Scarlet: yeah, but where's the girl?

Mercury had jumped in between his two opponents. He swung a kick at Coco, but she blocked it with Gianduja. Next, he landed and kicked Yatsuhashi. Since Yatsuhashi was bigger than Mercury he recovered within seconds and tried to swing. Mercury followed up by jumping and kicking at his jaw as he fell down
