Johnny runs out his house with his old man yelling at him

He runs not knowing where he's heading

He ends up at Bucks

Johnny was about to leave but lightning strikes really close to Bucks place making Johnny shake from fear

He hesitates but knocks on the door

"What?" Buck answers with a pool stick in his hand

"Is- is dal here?"

Buck lets out an annoyed sigh

"Yes he's in room 24 kid"

Johnny slips by him and goes up the steps

Johnny gets very nervous he's liked dally for a couple months but he's told no one not even his best friends ponyboy.

He makes it to room 24 he knocks on the door and dally answers only wearing his underwear

Johnny's face heats up and dally grabs Johnny's hand and brings him inside

Dally closes and locks the door He walks to his closet and puts on a pair of sweatpants

Dally turns on the small kitchen light on lighting up the small room

"Oh shit! Johnny what happened?!"

Dally gets very close to him and puts his finger on Johnny's cheeck that's bleeding

Johnny pushes his hand away and steps back

"He got angry and hit me.."

"Fuck..sit on the bed ill patch it up for you"

Johnny sits at the edge of the bed and plays with his hands that's in his lap nervously waiting for Dally to return

Dally sits on the edge of the bed with a little medkit he grabs Johnny's face and cleans the cut with a cotton swab with alcohol on it

Johnny flinches and tries to move his head but dally tightens his grip

"Johnny stay still"

"It hurts dal!" Johnny whines

Dally chuckles and opens a bandage and puts it on his cheek

"There good as new Johnnycakes"

Dally stands up and walks to the bathroom

"If I ever see your old man imma beat his ass." Dally threatens from the bathroom

He comes back and looks at the clock on the wall 3:30 am

"Johnny its very late are you tired?"

"Yeah but where would I sleep?"

"You can sleep in the bed with me I mean we're friends I don't see nothin wrong with it" Dally says shrugging

Johnny's eyes widen and mumbles something but dally didn't hear

"S-sure I guess" Johnny says nervously

Dally gets in bed and crawls up the spot beside Johnny

Johnny takes his shoes and socks off and lays down on his side looking away from dal

"Hey kid are you really gonna wear your clothes to bed?"

"I- um yeah dal"

Dally chuckles and pulls the covers over us

"Aright man"

It gets uncomfortably quiet all they can hear is the storm

Johnny tries to sleep but it doesn't work his mind is going wild he looks at the clock 4 am

He sighs and sits up

"Dally are you awake?"

"Mm yeah why are you sittin up kid?"

Kid. Dally always calls him kid.

"C-can I tell you some-something?"

Dally sits up and leans against the wall

"Of course you can johnny"

"I-i um.."

His hands are shaking afraid of what he's gonna say next and very afraid of dallys reaction

"Are you ok kid-"

"Dally I really like you" johnny says very quickly

Dally looks at him confused

"Huh What'd you say Johnny?"

"I-i like you dal.."

Johnny closes his eyes waiting for Dally to hit him but nothing happens

He slightly opens them and dallys eyebrows are furrowed

"Well I like you too kid you're a pretty good friend" dally says confused on what Johnny's getting at

"N-no I-I mean as in date-dating"

Dally goes quiet for a second and just looks at him

"Jeez man..I-I mean I like you too I've just never had the courage to tell ya"

Johnny's eyes widen

"R-really dal?"

"Yeah Johnny"

"Can I?" Dal asks

Johnny nods and dally kisses him a quick kiss but passionate

Johnny's face is bright red

"I think I know a way to help you fall asleep" dally says smirking

"What is it dal-"

Dally wraps his arm around Johnny's waist and lays down pulling him beside him Johnny's head is laying on his chest

"Goodnight babycakes"
