school dance excitement

"Dally! There's a dance after school tomorrow night can we go together?!"

Johnny asks me looking up at me his eyes widen and his voice is more cheerful than usual

"Erm I ain't much of a dancer man"

He stops dead in his tracks I turn around confused and look at him

"Please dally! It'll be a memory 'sides I can't dance either we don't gotta dance"

I sigh heavily johnny seems excited I don't wanna ruin his mood and he's right we can make it memorable but I ain't gonna let him know that I wrap my arm around his shoulders tugging him close to me and we continue walking

"I guess I'll go with ya cakes but we're gonna have to keep it low man"

I glance at him he don't seem to care about that he's smiling real wide cluching the bottom of my leather jacket

"I know dal but maybe we can go somewhere quiet afterwards and do stuff just us"

"Yeah yeah kid we'll see do I gotta dress formal?"

I ask hoping I don't gotta

"Erm...I don't think so the girls are gonna be all dressed up though for sure"

He says going quiet mid sentence I frown and look down towards him

"Chill man ain't gonna look at em besides I have a hot date why would I wanna look at some soc girl with caked up makeup on her face?"

He blushes and pushes my side a little making me stumble I laugh and ruffle his hair

The whole walk to bucks he never quit talking about the dance he looks at up me and his smile immediately falls and looks at his feet

"I'm not talkin your ears off am I dal?"

He asks his cheerful tone gone I ruffle his hair

"Yer not man would tell ya if you are"

He sighs bucks building just a couple blocks away

"Sorry dal I got too excited I guess"

He sighs chuckling sadly

I huff and pull him to the alleyway pushing him against the brick wall his eyes wide

"Quit apologizing man you ain't did nothing wrong you don't gotta apologize about being excited"

He frowns and shakes his head no opening his mouth but closing it probably about to apologize again

I glare at him he wraps his arms around my torso his face hid in my chest I sigh hugging him back I rub his back waiting for him to break the hug

He steps back a small smile I kiss his cheek his face now red

"Cmon let's get to bucks I gotta shower you can join me if ya want hun"

I offer johnny stays quiet smilling to himself staring at his feet
