Dally already in an angry mood sees someone sleeping on an old car seat already knowing who it is

Johnny cade.

He's gave the boy warnings multiple times, threats and forced him to stay at the Curtis's or with him but the kid never listens

He stomps to the sleeping boy and yanks him up johnny yelps jerking his arm away

"Jesus christ dally!"

Johnny hollers wiping sleep out of his eyes

"The hell you doin out here?! It's fuckin freezing out here why ain't ya at the Curtis's!"

Dally yells angred johnny stares at him frightened

"Just sleepin...I've already been there too much I can handle being out here dal!"

He tries to reassure dally scowls he grabs Johnny's wrist and pulls him down the street the opposite way from the Curtis's Johnny sighs with relief not knowing what he's getting himself into

"Do you ever use your head?! I thought ponyboy was the worst but here you are waiting to get jumped!"

He argues his grip hurting the others wrist

"Oh shut it dal! Don't act like you got some sense!"

Johnny argues back if it wasn't johnny dally would've knocked them right then and there everyone knows if they argue with dally they'll wish they didn't

But dally would never hit johnny especially since they're a thing now

Dally looks at him dangerously immediately making Johnny shut up

He pulls the boy up the stairs at Bucks and forcefully sits him down on his bed

"I've told you many times to not sleep out there and what do you do? Be a fucking dumbass and fall asleep!"

He yells flying his hands around not realizing it's scaring johnny even more

"I didn't have no where to go dallas!"

The other yells back fighting tears

"God johnny are dumb are you?! Do you wanna get jumped because it sure seems like ya do!"

He screams at him trying to get his point across johnny sniffles wiping the tears that's finally escaped

"I mean by how many times your deadbeat dad's knocked you around you wouldve had some common sense in ya!"

He screams immediately stopping johnny gives up with the tough act he cries dallys never seen him cry like a baby before except for when he was jumped a couple months ago he stands there staring at the heart broken boy he tries to give him a hug but he flinches climbing back further on the bed

"I didn't mean it johnny I was just trying to get it through ya thick skull."

"Sure ya didnt."

He says sarcastically dally glares at him he kicks his shoes off and climbs into bed he grabs Johnny's arms forcing him to lay down with the other johnny struggles to get up thrashing around accidentally elbowing dally in the face

"Cool it kid fuckin hell man! Elbowed me in my god damn eye."

He says holding Johnny's arms down and locking his legs with his so he can't get up

"I didn't mean it ok? Im...sorry. we savvy now?"

"No."

"I'll treat you with burgers tomorrow hows that sound? Don't be mad at me I don't like when you're mad at me."

"You know how I feel about him but you bring it up anyways to "prove" your point. No were not savvy."

He says sniffling dally wipes the small tear with his thumb

"Not even burgers?"

"No."

"Jesus you draw a hard bargain how about milkshakes with the burgers?"

Dally teases trying to lighten the mood johnny chuckles punching him lightly on his shoulder

"M' still mad at you but I'd like that."

"I'll make it up to you I swear. Just...don't snitch on my ass to darry he'll kill me man."

He begs johnny chuckles

"Oh I'm totally gonna now"

He teases no longer crying dally ruffles the others hair soon kissing it

"Seriously I'll treat ya tomorrow. You n me"

"Like a date?"

Johnny asks excitedly

"Like a date."

Dally assures johnny smiles brightly excited for tomorrow.
