I haven't taken a good shower in awhile probably months I'm embarrassed to tell anyone. If my parents aren't home ill try and take a longish shower but with my luck it never happens. When I'm at the Curtis's I feel safe enough to shower but i still get scared when I'm all alone in there because pa usually takes it to his advantage and breaks the lock on the door to beat me while I'm showering

I feel like a wuss when I tell anyone I don't want them to think I'm weak and make fun of me for being scared to shower.

I hesitantly turn the nob on dallys shower my adrenaline pumping I hurry and strip and step in the shower I close the shower curtain and let me hair soak

I should probably hurry dallys waitin and I feel more on edge maybe since I'm at Bucks. I should feel safe I'm only with dally he'll never try and hurt me. I feel guilty thinking that he possibly could.

I hum a quiet tone to distract my racing thoughts I wash the suds out of my hair and I scrub the bar of soap on a washcloth I rub my body trying to get as clean as I could since I haven't tooken a shower in a week or so.

I hear a door shut I tense up but I tell myself it was just the front door I hurry and wash the suds away I turn the nob and shut off the water I grab for the curtain but someone rips it out of my hands I scream real loud terrified I use the curtain to cover my lower area

My heart pumping real fast dally laughs I put my hand on my chest my heart beating out of my chest tears brim up I feel humiliated dally quits laughing realizing I didn't find it funny one bit.

He grabs for me but I step away to the end of the tub my grip on the curtain turning my fingers white

"Oh come on Johnny loosen up it was a joke"

He tells me dryly chuckling i frown harder and shake my head it wasn't just a joke. That scared the shit out of me I thought it was someone else

"Get-get out dal.."

I mumble my voice cracks he tenses up realizing I wasn't having fun he reaches for me again but I shake my head he drops his arms to his side and leaves without a word

I let go of the curtain I stable myself on the counter to step out of the shower my legs like jello I hurry and dry off and put on some clothes

"Fuckin hell..."

I mumble to myself I embarrassed myself real good. And of course it had to be dally only making it worse. I open the bathroom door the cool air hitting my face dallys sitting on the edge of his bed facing me. His smile no longer on his face but a stern look

I awkwardly walk towards him he grabs my wrist and pulls me infront of him

"Jesus...I'm sorry johnny I was just playin a joke I didn't mean to scare ya like that."

He apologies, his thumbs rubbing over my shakey hands i bite my lip anxiously

"Its—it's fine dal just don't do it again.."

"I swear I won't I should've used my head man"

He says pulling me on top of him he lays back I lay beside him he holds me close not saying anything only rubbing my back
