A broken promise - SISIR AND BASANTA

Chapter 2

She reached out her hand to Sisir's hair and slowly ruffled his hair. Suddenly, Sisir said 

"Your highness, don't ruin my hair. I just combed it."

 He said while whining. The queen laughed a little at her son. She bended down and kissed his forehead. Then she said, 

"Thank you for saving me my child. You and Basanta are the most wonderful things that happened to me in my life. I am blessed to have you both. oh, what would i do without you both."

 Sisir smiled hearing that and  replied,

 "Don't make me emotional mom. Oh, I forget the main reason I came here. I had been informed that dad had returned from his hunting trip. Let's go mom. He would be here soon. And I shall talk about dad about the panic attack again."

 The queen requested, "Don't do that my son. He might get stressed for me. He has just returned from the hunt. Let him rest. Will ya."

 By hearing his mom, Sisir sighed and said, 

"Fine. As you say mom." 

The mother and son duo talked for a while again and decided to attend the royal dining table. When they reached here. They were delighted with a wonderful sight. The king who returned from the hunt was feeding little Basanta who was in his father's lap.

(A/N: I mostly don't know a single thing about how royal people behave. So, Sisir and Basanta are very polite and show that they are disciplined in front of others and the citizens. But they are all goofy little fluff balls around their parents because they love them so much. If my mom found out about them, she is gonna nag me all day telling me to have manners like them.)

Ava and Sisir reached at the dining table. They bowed to the king who also bowed as a sigh of respect for his family with a warm smile. The all sat down and began chatting to each other. The queen asked to the king, 

"So, how was the trip? My majesty."

 The king replied, "It was lovely. My queen. But I was missing you and the kids here. I hope everything is going well in the kingdom."

 The queen again said, "everything is great, honey."

 Sisir was listening to their conversation with a soft smile while his brother Basanta was busy playing with the new toys that his father brought for him."

 Suddenly, a few maids and butlers came there and served them their meals. The royal family prayed to god before eating and dived over the food as the hunger took over them. That night went by laughter and giggles from the royal family at the palace. But, there was one problem, the queen was not okay.

That night, Ava couldn't sleep properly. she was tossing right and left side of the bed. She looked at the moon and signed deeply.  She was continuously thinking about the bird incident that happened the previous day. She hadn't gone from that trauma that she saw the other day. But, she also didn't tell anyone about it. The king also noticed the odd behavior in his wife but he just let it go thinking she will be the same woman he knew the other day. He thought that she can't sleep due to the king's arrival. Oh boy. How was he wrong.

The queen didn't become better the next day. She was only over thinking about the bird incident. She didn't eat anything properly. When others asked about what happened. She only replied that she is not hungry. She also couldn't sleep at night as well. Days passed, but nothing changed in the queen's behavior. She didn't sleep properly and avoid her meals as well. She looked like a mess. The woman who looked like an angel that fell from heaven now looked like a ghost.

She had pale skin, dark circle under her eyes saying that she couldn't sleep for days and anyone can see and hear sadness in her eyes and voice. When anyone asked her what happened. She would just smile at them which is a fake one and tell them she is fine.

 Everyone were worried for her. Little Basanta also noticed the changes in his mother. He became scared from her by her appearance but deep down he just wanted to sit on her lap and talk about his day. But he can't cause the queen was distancing everyone from her. One day, while walking through the hallway she fainted.

The royal guards who were there immediately rushed through her. Although, they were afraid of getting punished for touching the queen but they can't just stand there and do nothing except putting the queen's life in danger. One of the guard carried her and took her towards her room and another guard went to call the royal doctor. 

The king and his children were informed about the queen. They quickly rushed there worried about their queen. When they reached the queen's room. They were greeted by the guards who took her there. Klaus saw his wife unconscious in the bed. He went and sat on the stool that was placed near the queen's bed. He took her hand and began praying that she will be fine. The doctor was checking her heartbeat and skin condition. Sisir was also standing nearby.

After a while, the doctor said,

 "My lord. The queen has not been taking care of herself. She is avoiding food and she has lack of sleep. She is having a high fever at this moment. Her condition is becoming worse day by day. I suggest you should talk to her and try to regain her old self back. If this continues, I am not sure I could save her from this illness and the result you know already. i apologize my lord. now, i may take my leave."

 After hearing this the king was horrified. Like, who wouldn't after hearing that the loved one is dying.  The doctor bowed to the king and  went away after giving medicines to the queen and asking for the leave from the king.  Everyone went away except for the king, Sisir and Basanta who were looking at their mother from the very start.

 The king said to Sisir, "Sisir, take your younger brother away. I would be on your mother's side. I request you to leave." Sisir wanted to decline, but when he saw his father  his father and took Basanta away from there. After a while the queen opened her eyes.
