A broken promise - SISIR AND BASANTA

Chapter 20

In Noemi, 

Sisir was walking here and there in his office room looking at some documents which were related to the country's budget. Suddenly, the door opened and a guard walked in. He bowed in front of the king. Sisir had noticed his presence. So he questioned to the guard without looking at him,

 "did you find any information about him?"

 the guard looked scared and hesitated to talk. He didn't say anything. Sisir diverted his eyes from the file and said again but with a little anger in his voice, 

"I asked you a question, mister. I don't have the whole day to wait for you. So speak up fast."

 The guard gulped and said with his head down and shaky voice,

 "we couldn't find him your' highness. The guards searched everywhere in the north, south, east and the west kingdoms as well. We have rechecked the forest that you told as well. But, we find no sign of your brother."

 The guard was literally shaking in fear. By hearing this, Sisir was furious. The guard looked at his face and knew that today it would be his last day on this planet. Sisir shouted,

 "SEARCH HIM AGAIN. IF YOU CAME AGAIN HERE INFRONT OF ME WITHOUT MY BROTHER. I WOULD MAKE SURE TO KILL YOU WITH MY OWN SWORD. YOUR HEAD WILL BE ON THE RIGHT AND BODY ON THE LEFT. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? NOW, GET OUT OF HERE". 

The guard quickly bowed and ran from Sisir's room. Sisir threw the file he was holding and growled loudly. It has been 6 months already and there was no sign of basnata at all. It looks like basnata suddenly disappeared in thin air. Sisir kneeled down and took deep breaths to calm down his anger. After a minute or two, he finally calmed down. He walked out of the door and went to meet his wife Andrea. They both have got close but just as friends. They will turn into something more but in the future. Who knows. They talked to each other about their problems. And yes, Sisir had talked about basnata to her and she promised that she will help finding him.

He went near to their room door and knocked but no one answered. He was getting impatient. He twisted the door knob and realized it was open. Now, he was in a dilemma whether to knock again and wait for eternity or just to go inside. He knows that he is disturbing his wife's privacy but he was scared as well. Something might happen to her and she was his responsibility. So without thinking much, he entered the room and shouted, 

"ANDREA ARE YOU o-" 

before, he could complete his sentence. The scene in front of him mad him shocked and speechless. Andrea was drying out her hair with only a bathrobe wrapped around her body. She looked so beautiful with her bare face, without any makeup. Sisir was lost in her beauty. When she looked back at the source of the voice, she saw Sisir. she widened her eyes. Next thing we knew, the guards of the palace could hear loud screams of Andrea and Sisir. 

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAA."

 "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE. YOU IDIOT. YOU TOLD YOU TO COME INSIDE WITHOUT KNOCKING. NOW, GET OUT." 

To which Sisir also replied, 

"I LITTERLY KNOCKED TWO TIMES BUT YOU DIDN'T ANSWER. SO, I CAME IN TO CHECK ON YOU. OH LORD SHIVA. OH MY EYES. FORGIVE ME GOD. I AM AN INNOCENT CHILD. I DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING."

 By listening to Sisir, Andrea made a done face. She quickly stood up from the small chair near the night stand and threw a pillow at Sisir. Sisir was busy screaming that he forgot to dodge the pillow and it hit his handsome face. Sisir came to his senses. He again looked at Andrea and said,

 "oh. I am leaving. You change."

 By saying this Sisir ran outside. but unfortunately, while running he stumbled and nearly fell down. But, somehow he composed himself and went outside the room after closing the door.
