A broken promise - SISIR AND BASANTA

Chapter 22

"STOP RIGHT THERE." They heard one of the guard shout from afar. From his sound the other guards also gathered there. And soon a running marathon started in the hallway of the palace. The guards thought that Sisir and Andrea were thieves. Meanwhile, the couple ran away as they don't want to get caught. They were chasing each other as a lion is chasing a delicious juicy deer to satisfy its hunger. But due to Sisir's clumsiness and because his clothes were all wet, he nearly fell two times while running but Andrea managed him. They both reached near their room and saw that the guards were far behind them. So, they quickly took the chance and went inside and closed the door. They both were panting heavily and processing what just happened a while ago. After a while, Andrea said to Sisir in an annoyed tone, "when they need to do their job, they sleep like wild buffalos. Why the hell they had to be awake just today. It's our bad luck Sisir are you-." Before, she could complete her sentence, he put his palm on her mouth to stop her from speaking nonstop because he heard the footsteps of the guards outside their room. He signaled her to be quiet and she nodded her head silently. Soon, they heard the footsteps of a few guards outside.

Outside, one of the guards said stopping in front of the king and queen's bedroom, "I guess they both have come here to steal the treasure or to harm the royal member." The other guard replied with a yes. They started to discuss about the thieves right outside the room. soon, both Sisir and Andrea heard the sound of the third person and the guards greeting that person. The voice said, "what are you both doing here outside the king and the queen's room." Sisir and Andrea immediately recognized the voice. It was the voice of the head of the ministers, Mr. rana. After hearing that, one of the guards said, "my majesty. We have caught a glimpse of two mysterious people inside the castle. They both were wearing all black and their faces were hidden well with the mask. We found them suspicious. When we tried to confront them, they both ran away and now we are searching for them." The guard took a deep breath and cleared his throat after giving that long speech in front of the royal head. The guard again bowed. Mr. rana just hummed and told, "okay, check the palace carefully but don't stand here now. The king and queen's sleep might be disturbed. You don't want to get punished for that, do you?" The guard shook his head as no. "Okay then. You both leave from here and search on other areas." The guards obeyed him and left from there.

When they were gone, Mr. Rana took a deep breath, went near the door, knocked it softly and said, "you are safe now. Your highness." By saying this, he went away. Yes, he knew that Sisir and Andrea mostly sneak outside the castle. He was kind and known in the kingdom by the people for his kindness, bravery and intelligence. He treats Andrea as his own daughter as the late king and him were good childhood friends more like diaper buddies since birth. Both Sisir and Andrea were still kids and he believes that at least for some time they should have freedom, away from the responsibilities. He was just doing his responsibility and covering the queen's secret. After he was gone, Sisir left Andrea's mouth and they both took a sigh of relief. They looked at each other and froze when they realize that they both were too close to each other. They both were caught up in escaping from the guards and not making a single sound that They failed to notice that they were so close to each other. They both backed away from each other with a red blush on their faces, looking like a fresh tomato and didn't dared to look at each other's faces. After a while later, Andrea said, "let's sleep now. It is late. You have to go to your classes tomorrow."

Suddenly, Sisir's mood changed and he made a boring face. Andrea knew what that face meant and quickly said and pointed a finger at him before Sisir can protest, "no. no you are not skipping the class. Mr." Sisir wined and said, "I am not going to that boring class again. Mr. rana literally forces me to read a whole book which contains more pages than the great wall of china. I am sure for that." Andrea relied, "do you even know the actual length of great wall of china?" "no" Andrea sighed and said, "okay then. Let's sleep for now. And don't you dare to ditch that class tomorrow like you did today. You should know about the kingdom's details and history. You are the king and it is important to even know small details about the kingdom. The people are expecting a lot from you. Make sure to not disappoint them." Sisir said again, "then why don't you help me in ruling the kingdom. You are handling the responsibilities while I am learning and you were in charge of all of them even before the arrival of me or the previous kings. I bet that you will be a great ruler even better than me. An I am telling you the truth." Andrea looked at his eyes and instantly knew that he was not lying. She said sadly, "but, do you think the society would accept. Sisir, it is easy to say but difficult to do. You know the society and its rules. They say that woman can't rule. Woman can't lead." "that's nonsense. You."

Before he could speak more, Andrea shut him up and said, "let's just sleep. End of discussion." Sisir just sighed and nodded his head. they both changed their clothes. Of course, in different rooms. One in bedroom and one is bathroom. After changing their clothes, both laid on bed. Andrea put a giant pillow in the middle of the bed. Sisir didn't said anything because that was normal for them. They slept like that from the past six months and only they know this secret. Both Sisir and Andrea wanted the other partner to make the first move. But, they both were too shy to say about their feelings to each other. Yes, you guessed it correct. They both like each other. There was an awkward silence in the room until Andrea wished Sisir a good night and Sisir wished her as well. After that, they both went to their dreamland without the warmth of each other.

( A/n: that's the end of the boring chapter. I know the story of Sisir and Basanta has not been like the original story. I am just writing the story as per my imagination. In the original story, there was no love story between Sisir and his wife. The character Andrea was never mentioned in the original story. So, hope you understand. And either there was no mention of basanta going to school or anything and having friends.

I forgot to mention the most important thing. I am going on a hiatus again. my exams are coming very near and I need to be prepared . I have school from 6 am to 6 pm and lots of school work. Even on the weekends. I don't have any energy left on me to write or do anything. And because of the pressure of the exams. I couldn't start the new chapter. So, I guess a break was really necessary. I don't know when a new chapter will be back. But, I hope you will be patient enough if you liked this boring story. That's all. Thank you for reading the story. I will take my leave now.)
