A broken promise - SISIR AND BASANTA

Chapter 3

Klaus immediately said, "How are you feeling my love. I told you so many times that you should take care of your health. But you never listen to me. Do you even know how will I survive if something happened to you?"

 The king scolded her. His eyes were becoming teary. He was controlling himself from crying. He was in the verge of crying by looking at his wife. By hearing her husband, the queen said with a small smile.

 She said, "Nothing will happen to me. But love". 

She suddenly holds the king's hand and again said, "Promise me if I ever died you would not marry anyone and take care of our children. I don't want them to suffer while I am gone." king became furious hearing her. He yelped her hand, stand up from the tool and whisper-shouted,

 "Are you out of your bloody mind. Why would I even let you die. You are still young. You have a lot to live. we still haven't seen enough sunrise. You haven't even seen this world properly, love. And even if you die. I would never lay eyes on another woman. i vowed to you that i will always love. and i will keep my promise."

 After saying this, he went out of his room unaware of the fact that Sisir was listening to their whole conversation this whole time. Sisir said to himself in his mind,

 "Don't worry mother. If something happened to you, dad married another woman and If she turned out to be evil. I will not let her ruin our lives. I would protect myself and my little brother at any cost. Our lives will not be ruined. It is a promise." 

He was in his thoughts for a while. He had a dark aura around him which also scared the guards a little who were outside the queen's room. A few minutes later, he went to his room. On the other side the queen was also in her deep thoughts. She was getting more anxious about her children's future. she was insecure about herself. she even felt that she didn't deserve the title of the queen and is not suitable for the kingdom.  She slept after  tossing in the bed for a while. The king had given her a sleeping pill so that she can sleep well. 

(A/N: don't come to me and say bad things okay. I am writing this story as per the traditional story of my country Nepal. And in the fairy tale the queen actually felt ill due to her over thinking habit. you can even search it on you tube if you don't believe me.)

A few days passed but the queen's behavior and act didn't change at all. Her condition was getting worse day by day. She was in her bed all day. She refused to eat anything properly. The queen of the kingdom was in deep depression. Everyone knew that. One not so very fine day, the queen was laying on her bed. She looked so pale as a ghost. Her glory that she had hold gone away a long time ago. Now, she was looking like a body without a soul. She had got herself a disease. She was always in deep depression. She often had panic attacks. She wasn't taking her medicines as well. She had illness anxiety disorder.

(A/N: And that is the reason you should never overthink something because it may ruin your whole life. But who would tell this words to this dumb woman. 🙄 but, sometimes I think that I am related to the queen because I overthink a lot as well. Anyways back to the story.)

Her condition was getting worse than before. She knew she was going to die soon. she wanted to meet her husband and tell him how much she loves him before she says goodbye to this world. So, she called the king in her chamber (room). The king came there soon after the queen called him. When he reached there, he saw that his wife had a small smile on her lips. But, he knew that it was all an act. there were no emotions on that smile and the king could sense that. He went and sat near her bed after she softly motioned him to sit at the side. Before he can say anything, the queen blocked his words and said,

" I want to talk about something. Can I? "

The king nodded his head. The queen again said,

"You know how we met 15 years ago, right?"
