It seemed like such a stupid argument to have. Call me sensitive, but I was jealous. I was the over protective type. Of course if I saw some girl gawking over my man I'd get upset. And she honestly deserved it, I didn't feel bad. Eddie had to explain she came up to him first and he was trying to tell her no, but she was pretty drunk off of her ass. Of course his mannerisms weren't the best, but I believed him. This is what I hated about high-school. Jealousy, dating, gossiping, drama.. this is why I liked our small group. I didn't have to worry about anyone doing anything.
Eddie shuts the trailer door behind him, me following directly behind.
"Ugh, my head." He walks to the bedroom, slamming himself on the bed.
"Well maybe don't drink so much." I laugh as I go to the bathroom. I needed to wipe off this makeup. I take cold water from the faucet and start to splash it on my face, vigorously rubbing. I grab the small towel beside me and wipe, hoping I got it all off. I look in the mirror and immediately jump.
"Don't do that!" I also Eddie with the towel as he stood right behind me.
"Oops." He shrugs playfully. His arms snake around my waist and his chin props on top of my head.
"You need to wipe that off, here." I dip the towel in the sink and soak it, handing it to him.
"You do it," he stands back and closes his eyes. I go on my tip toes and start to softly scrub away at his face.
"I forget you're not the same anymore," I sigh. "I'm just not used to this whole.. vampire thing. It's like you've never changed, but you have."
"Yeah, I know. I forget sometimes too. I feel like my regular self. I can eat regular food and drink regular drinks, but I have a certain thirst for blood. It's not like a killing urge though, it's hard to explain."
"Yeah.. so what we gotta rob blood banks for the rest of our lives?" I raise an eyebrow and try not to laugh.
"Precisely. I've tried to go without, but it begins to feel like a really bad dehydration."
I toss the towel aside and pat his cheeks with my hands. "We will figure something out. Whether if that's making you human again or just finding a way around it. I promise." He smiles into my embrace and I walk towards the bedroom, flopping myself onto the bed, getting into my long black tank top and boy shorts.
I look to Eddie who takes off his shirt. I feel my eyes glue to the site of perfection. His body was addicting. He slips down his pants and reveals a pair of blue, loose, and plaid boxers. They were so long they looked like regular shorts.
"Staring problem, hun?" He asks with a cheeky smile.
"Uh- no, no.. not at all." I feel my words choke their way out of me. He knew what he was doing. It's crazy how far we've come. Honestly. Months ago I would have slapped him silly for stripping in front of me. His body flops onto the bed, right next to me. I feel his arm drape across my stomach.
"I don't think you realize how beautiful you are.." he sighs.
"Are you still drunk?" I ask laughing. He leans up, his eyes widening.
"No, no! Not at all. I mean it, I mean- look at you." I look down at my body and shake my head. He places a hand on my naked thigh and strokes it with his cold thumb. I turn on my side and face him. He leans in, his lips pressing against my forehead. "Remember what I said back at the Creel house?" He asks.
I nod, shutting my eyes. "Yeah, I do.."
"Well, I meant every word of it. Every syllable. I didn't just say it because I thought it was my dying breath. I should have told you way before. I do love you, Clary."
I open my eyes and grab his hand, smiling. "I love you too."
