Zoey's POV
I wake up in the middle of the night with a throat as dry as the Sahara desert, scratching the dry skin at the back of my throat.
How long was I out for?
As I step out of the bed, a stinging pain shoots from heel to toe. The slight burn and intense sting let me know that I definitely have blisters.
"Dang it, Zoey. You know you have sensitive skin." I sigh, talking to myself.
A knock at my door almost makes me jump out of my skin.
"Come in." I say with a racing heart.
"I'm sorry I scared you, baby. I just wanted to check on you."Jett says, walking in.
"My feet really hurt." I wince as my toes twitch from beneath me.
"Come here, baby. Let me see." He holds out his hand.
As soon as I take it, he walks to me and lifts me into his arms. I can't complain because I really don't want to walk. If these blisters pop, I'll die.
"Do you never sleep?" I ask as he walks me in to the kitchen.
"No, baby. We don't sleep." He chuckles as he sits me on the counter next to the sink.
"I got the cream." Wyatt says, walking into the kitchen.
Cream?
Wyatt approaches me with a naked torso, showing off the curves of each ab on his stomach, they tense as he moves closer and closer to me.
I feel my knees pressing together, trying to dull this unfamiliar ache.
Wyatt kneels down to my feet as Jett sets a large cup of water next to me. My fingers grip around the glass as I gulp down the liquid.
Nothing feels better than cold water going down your hoarse throat.
"Hey, doll. Wyatt smiles, looking up at me.
"Hi." I wave, not knowing how else to respond to his dashing smirk or his shirtless chest.
Wyatt squirts some of the cream onto his fingers, "this might sting a little, doll. But it'll feel really good after." His fingers brush lightly against the blisters, making me wince in pain.
"That one isn't even a blister, it's open." Jett points to a spot on the side of my heel.
Jett holds my hand and lets me squeeze as hard as I need to while Wyatt gently rubs the cream onto my damaged feet.
Once he's done, he washes his hands and returns with a lollipop.
"Only because you were such a good girl." Wyatt hands it to me.
Good girl.
Butterflies flutter in my stomach going downwards towards my core.
"Look at those cheeks." Wyatt gushes, pinching my cheek while Jett chuckles.
"I have to get back to Nik. We were working on," Jett looks at me then back at Wyatt, "that thing."
Wyatt nods, happy Jett is leaving.
"What thing?" I ask him once Jett leaves the room.
He smiles, "nothing, doll. Don't worry."
His fingers swipe my hair behind my ear with his arm brushing against my shoulder.
Don't distract me.
