Chapter 5

Eddie's P.O.V
I sat on Steve's bed, telling him about a dream I had, using my Dungeon Master charm and theatrics I explained what happened in my dream. "It's started with the fight in the upside down. I had just finished performing the most metal concert ever, distracting the bats from you guys and afterwards Dustin and I made a run for the caravan. That's when I heard the bats again, I knew something was off so I cut the rope connecting Hawkins and the upside down. Then the scene shifted. I was being eaten by the bats and-and then Dustin found me." I started, tearing up, Steve looking at me with sympathy. I continued, "I had died in his arms. Once again the scene changed. For some reason Vecna had come to me after I died. I have no idea why but he somehow spoke to me as I lied there, telling me to join him. I was constantly fighting him, he said because I wasn't obeying him I had to face the consequences and he said because I was fighting his control I had to match my physical appearance with the status I was given, then I arose from the dead." I said tearing up again. "It's ok Eddie, Vecna will be found and we will make him die for good." He said hope in his eyes. I smiled and continued. "That's when the scene shifted again, to the woods in the upside down, you and I were talking and I was saying how much Dustin worshipped you. And how I admitted I was a little jealous. And then I heard you scream and I woke up." I said finishing my dream recap. "Well at least we know why you turned out like this." Steve said reassuring me. I smiled and nodded. As we sat I saw the sunrise approaching. "Hey Harrington? How do you feel about spilling a few beans today?" I said smirking. He looked confused until I raced down stairs and picked up the radio. "Hey Henderson, it's me Eddie, I need a favour." I said to the boy, hoping he was the only one listening. "Sure! Anything Eddie! What's up?" He asked happily. "I need you to send out a code...um...code blue. Tell everyone to meet at skull rock." I said hoping he'd get the message. "Oh! Yes I'll do that! Im guessing you and Steve are ready?" He said understanding completely. "Yes. We are. Tell them all to be there in half an hour, we'll be there. Let me know when you arrive." I told him. "Will do!" He said. I nod and turn the radio off. As I was getting ready, I saw Steve coming down the stairs. "Are you sure your ok with this? I'm not sure if I'm ready to tell them yet." He asked nervously. I put a hand on his shoulder, I noticed a little bit of a blush, which made me empathise more. "It's ok Steve. I'll be right there, we will reveal at the exact same time as promised ok? I won't leave your side, not again." I said a sincere smile on my face. He looked up at me and smiled softly at me and nodded. Steve and I walked outside as I grabbed his waist again and told him to hold on, he immediately wrapped his arms around my neck and I summoned my wings to take off into the rising sun.

"You sure their coming?" Steve asked me as we landed. "I'm sure! I told Dustin to tell me when he gets here." I said pulling out a bag of chips from my supply bag. "It's a good thing you can eat normal food, like me your diet might be a mixture of normal food and blood. Like you can get human hungry and supernatural hungry." Steve analysed. "I guess so. But I will take that as good news." I replied smiling. I heard static and realised it was the radio. "Eddie! We are on our way!" Dustin said. "Good. Steve is here with me. Did you tell anyone else I'm here?" I said. "No not yet. Everyone else is driving with Nancy and Johnathan while I am leading them on my bike so they can't even hear me! I said all radios off except for mine so your safe. I even have the rest of them in my bag so they can't get them." He summarised. I was pretty impressed with the kid. "Ok good. How long until you get here?" Steve asked. "At least another five minutes! Hold tight!" Dustin replied. We both nodded and I turned off the radio. "So Harrington. He did say hold tight, so I'm going to do something real quick." I said smirking. Steve looked at me confused and a little concerned. "What are you doing?" He asked as I climbed up on the rock and hung upside down on a ledge with my tail. "Dude are you seriously taking Dustin literally?!" "Well he did say hold tight so I am!" I said smirking as I got my wings out and shielded myself from the world. "Ya know what it's kinda cozy." I said comfortably. Steve sighed, he walked up to me and moved a wing out of the way to look at me, I hissed at the sudden movement. "Dude, since when do you hiss?" He asked curiously. "I don't know I just did it!" I said. "Like how you 'just' told Jason to forget everything about himself last night?" He reminded me. "oh, to be completely honest I don't know how I did that." "Well maybe it's kind of like in the movies, how vampires can put people into a trance and do their bidding." He theorised. I jumped down from the ledge and put my wings and tail away, I put a finger up to my chin in thought, "that's actually pretty spot on to how I felt last night, so that's a possibility. At least he's lucky to have gotten away alive." I said. Steve blushed again, what was wrong with him? since last night he kept blushing at me it's like-ohhhhh. I finally broke through to him, after all the flirting and fun stuff I finally got to him. Now's my chance to tell him. I smile at him, "ya know Harrington, there's something else I gotta confess." He looked at me confused again. "Steve, I-"

I was rudely interrupted by Henderson on the goddamn radio again. I groaned, "WHAT IS IT HENDERSON?" "We're almost there, hiking up now!" He said. "Shit! Alright see you up there then!" Steve said. "Tell me later ok?" He said sincerity on his eyes. I softly nodded and went to hide. What was with Dustin and his terrible timing, like for gods sake that kid needs to get better at his timing, I was finally gonna tell Steve my real feelings. But nonetheless I hid behind the rock. I heard voices up the hill. "Dustin why is Steve meeting us up here instead of just coming with us?" I heard robin say. "Cause it's important! I wouldn't have dragged you guys up here if it wasn't." Henderson replied. I peered around the rock avoiding to be seen until I'm announced. I only see the Byers brothers, Nancy Wheeler and Robin. Where was Mike, his super-powered girlfriend and Lucas Sinclair? They probably had bigger things to do, so I didn't dwell on it. I saw Steve come out from his hiding place. "Hey guys, hey where are the other three?" He said as if reading my thoughts. "Oh their at the hospital checking on max, she still hasn't waken up yet." Dustin said sadness filling his eyes. Steve looked sympathetic, "it's ok, we can catch them up on the details later. For now, I think it's time we showed ourselves." I smirked, that was my cue, and on point robin says something. "What do you mean by 'we'?" I responded as I came from around the rock. "He means him and I, Harrington and Munson. Steve and Eddie." Everyone except Dustin got a numerous amount of looks on their faces, confusion, sadness, joy, and worry. "I'm sorry who are you?" The Byers spoke up. "Oh that's right you were out of town, well, I'm Eddie Munson. And I died, pleasure to meet you." I said dramatically. Now for the reunion to begin.
