Chapter 10

Steve's P.O.V
I paced around the upside down lobby in the abandoned Hawkins lab,waiting for Eddie to come back with news, it was taking way too long. Then I heard something, a pained scream from down the hall, and unfortunately I knew exactly who it was. Eddie. I raced down the hallway, trying not to step on the vines with my big wolf paws and sniffed the air, trying to find Eddie's scent. I smelt the faint smell of his familiar hair products and leather, definitely Eddie, I continued down the hallway slowly and stopped at a room. It writhed with black vines and tendrils, this must be where Vecna was hiding. There were too many vines so I just transformed back into myself, with my clothes on like Eddie told me to do, and I entered the room. I watched my step as I moved around the room, I saw a bunch of tendrils in one spot, probably where Vecna resided, but where was Eddie? He was supposed to be right here! As I was investigating I heard a small amount of movement in the room, I whipped my head around to see nothing, concerns overwhelming me I shifted again getting my claws out, fangs growing, tail sprouted on the lower of my back and my ears pointed. The familiar yellow lens over my eyes scanned the area, trying to investigate in the darkness, my eyes darted around everywhere trying to pinpoint whatever was in here with me. I saw the faint silhouette of big bat wings and a long tail hanging to the ground, long hair hung over the silhouettes shoulders, I knew who this was exactly. It was my Eddie. "Eddie! Thank god. Don't scare me like that!" I said in relief, but I only got a growl in response, my relief slowly fading.

"E-Eddie? Is everything-?" I began but I was cut off with Eddie pouncing on me, clawing at me and gnashing his fangs at me, I couldn't help but feel hurt. But something was off, his eyes weren't red like usual in his vampire form, they were fully white. Like how someone would look like if they were....possessed by Vecna, I snapped and started to cry. "Eddie! I know your in there! Please snap out of it!" He continued to growl, "Eddie Munson is no more Steve Harrington. You left him abandoned here, so his empty shell is only left, and that left me. Kas the Bloody Handed." He said in a dark tone that was nothing like his own, I felt a knot of emotions form in my gut, guilt forming everywhere. Then out came the sick bastard that caused all this shit, fucking Vecna. I growled at the monster that emerged from the shadows, "what the fuck have you done?! WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO YOU SON OF A BITCH?!" I screamed. "Now now, no need for such violence Steve, not yet anyway. I have simply convinced Eddie on my side, all he has to do is get you to join us." He said. I felt so angry I had no choice but I slashed Eddie's shoulder, he hissed in pain and I instantly felt bad, I lost sight of Vecna but my eyes focused on Eddie. I leapt up from the ground and stood in a defensive stance. "Come on Harrington, you know that we are powerful together, you can be with me forever. We can rule with Vecna side by side, and take down the humans together, make them feel utter pain." Kas/Eddie said in a convincing tone. I violently shook my head, "no way, come on Eddie your stronger than this! You can beat this guys ass! You aren't a coward, you aren't a freak, you are a hero. A warrior. My hero, my warrior. Without you I wouldn't have figured out my feelings up until this point, I love you Eddie Munson!" I said trying to get to him. I saw a glimpse of Eddie fighting the possession, but it wasn't enough, Kas soon broke through again. "You foolish wolf, there is no stopping me, you cannot defeat the power of Vecna!" He snapped. I took that as a challenge, I walked up to Eddie and held his hands, much to his dismay, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" He shouted. "Saving my boyfriend asshole, then I'm gonna help him take down Vecna. And you won't be around to help." I spat at the lieutenant, and I pulled Eddie into a kiss. "NO NO NO! YOU CANNOT DEFEAT ME WITH A MERE KISS!! YOU FOOL!" I heard Vecna boom, I smirked, everything was going according to my plan, I pulled away from Eddie and saw his eyes flicker white to red several times. He doubled over in pain, then he threw up a slug looking thing that I crushed under my foot, he looked up at me. His beautiful crimson red eyes shining brightly, tears welled in them, a small smile forming on his face. "St-Stevie? Is...is that you? It's not my mind playing tricks on me?"

I smiled and pulled him into a hug, "Yes it's me Munson, I'm not going anywhere, I promise." He hugged me back, sobbing silently into my shoulder, I heard shrieks from behind us. "YOU FOOLS!! YOU CANNOT DEFEAT ME! AS LONG AS I LIVE EVERYTHING IN MY CONTROL, EVERYTHING BORN FROM MY WORLD, WILL CONTINUE TO LIVE ON AND DESTROY YOUR PUNY HUMAN WORLD!!" He threatened, I looked at Eddie in fear, he died here. He was awoken here, given these abilities from here, he could die again if we killed Vecna. He spoke up interrupting my thoughts. "Then I won't be dying anytime soon Vecna. As far as I'm concerned that slug thing was my connection to this world, I always felt Kas in me because of this place, and since I won the battle for my own body I am no longer yours to control. I might be a vampire, but doesn't make me attached to this place. Not anymore. I don't care about being a vampire, as long as I can be with my friends and my boyfriend, Steve Harrington, the Werewolf." He held his clawed hand in mine and smiled at me, "hope your ok with that label big boy." He whispered, I nodded and smiled at him. "That may be true, but I am still all powerful. This is just the beginning of the end!" Vecna stated. He waved his hand and a whole bunch of monsters started to erupt from the woods, we ran into the corridor and out the door of the lab to see what was going on. Our friends were surrounded by monsters and we both growled in hate towards the creatures surrounding them. "What do ya say Harrington, still up to beat some monster ass?" Eddie said to me, "totally, let's kick some ass." I responded. After a quick kiss Eddie took off into the sky and I shifted into my wolf form, both of us charging into battle.
