𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐌𝐎𝐌:𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝟐, Johnny Cade

(a/n: I'd just like to note that there is a four-year time skip! And for anyone who was curious, Amelia went to college to become a nurse.)

•~Amelia's P.O.V~•
"I told your Dad that we didn't need him to buy us a house," Johnny said as we sat down on our couch that we brought inside just this morning.

Johnny, Jenny, and I got up early this morning and started driving back home to Tulsa. We brought everything back to the house my Dad had bought us without our knowledge. Dad even brought us a couple of pieces of furniture that we needed but didn't have.

"I know, but he doesn't really have anything to do anymore besides buying things." I sighed, handing Johnny the Coke that he asked for.

"When do you start your nursing job?" Johnny asked, gulping down his Coke.

"Monday, I'm on first shift as well." I sighed, realizing I wouldn't be able to take Jenny to her first day at a new school.

"I'm on second shift at Toyota." I nodded, feeling more tired than I ever felt in my entire life.

"Mama?" I looked up, seeing Jenny come down the stairs.

"Jenny, you're supposed to be asleep." I yawned.

Jenny came down the stairs and curled up in Johnny's lap. She didn't like that we moved, she said it more than once, but it was hard to explain to a four-year-old that we couldn't stay there. That we had to move from the college campus.

"Can I sleep with you guys tonight? I don't like my room yet." I looked up at Johnny, who I knew would let Jenny sleep in our bed every night until she was eighteen if I'd allow it.

Johnny gave me puppy dog eyes as his little girl already started to fall asleep in his lap.

"C'mon, Amelia. Just tonight." I sighed. One night wouldn't hurt, right?

"Just tonight." Johnny smiled and he picked Jenny up as if she was still a baby and carried her up to our room.

We hadn't finished unpacking all of the rooms yet, and I knew I'd try to get it all done tomorrow after we saw the gang.

"Sometimes I think she's still a baby." Johnny chuckled, laying in bed next to Jenny.

"She'll always be your baby, Johnny." I brushed Jenny's blonde hair out of her face, pulling the blankets over me.

"I hope so."
