•~Amelia's P.O.V~•
"Thank you, have a nice day." I gave the customer an average fake smile that every one of the workers was practically forced to wear twenty-four/seven.

"You too, sweetheart." The sweet old lady walked off to where her husband was sitting before handing him his drink and then sitting down to eat her bagel.

The old lady was a regular here, her name was Doreen. Her husband's name, I didn't know. She always ordered for him and herself. Her husband usually always got a black coffee and she always got an everything cream cheese bagel.

She spoke to me whenever the baristas were taking a bit longer than usual to make her husband's coffee, or when my coworkers were still warming up her bagel. She was a sweet old lady.

"Amelia, we need you upfront." My manager sighed as he walked passed me and into the kitchen. We were a bit understaffed and something was wrong with the coffee machines so my manager worked the cash register until someone needed help fixing it.

I walked up to the counter, ready to take the guy's order. He had thinning brown hair and dull blue eyes. He was muscular, and if I didn't know Dally then I would've been afraid of him.

"Remember me?" I furrowed my eyebrows. A lot of people would come in and say "I'll have the usual" and I'd have never seen them before, I guessed that was what this man was trying to say. Although, it was a rather odd way of saying it.

"I'm sorry sir, I don't remember you. May I take your order?" I pulled out my pen, flipping to a blank page in my tiny notebook.

"That's okay, maybe you won't get me kicked out this time." I gulped, suddenly remembering this guy to be the one that was catcalling me.

"If you were kicked out, then you were kicked out for a good reason, now can I take your order?" The man must have been a complete idiot because he gave me his order and didn't think to look at my name tag to see if I was really the waitress who got him kicked out.

This was probably the only time I thanked God for idiotic people like him.

"Amelia." I looked up, seeing Johnny suddenly in front of me as I was still counting the money and putting it in the register.

"Johnny, what are you doing here?" I asked, knowing that I'd get in trouble if I was caught not doing my job and just talking to Johnny.

"I need to talk to you."

"Can it wait, Johnny? I can get in trouble if I'm not actively working." I looked around, quickly.

"Please, Amelia, can you ask to go on your break or something?" I sighed, seeing that there were no more customers in line and most of the customers were leaving.

"I'll be back." I walked to the kitchen where my manager was talking to one of my coworkers about how to fix the coffee machine on his own. "Jordan?" He looked up, his hair was greased back at the start of the day but now it was falling into his face.

"What's up, Amelia?" He sighed, putting a towel on his shoulder.

"It isn't as packed now, is it alright if I take my break right now?" I asked, hesitantly.

I'd never been in trouble with Jordan, he never had to redirect me or anything, but I'd seen him get angry at my past coworkers who had been fired and it wasn't pretty.

"Yeah, go ahead." He waved me out of the kitchen. I nodded quickly and jogged back to Johnny.

"Okay, we have thirty minutes, Johnny." Johnny nodded and sat down in one of the booths. I sat down across from him, pulling off my apron.

"I broke up with Amber." I felt my eyes go wide.

"What? Johnny, why would you do that?!" I whisper-shouted. I knew that most of the older women here were nosy Nelly's and would do anything for a bit of drama in their boring lives. So it wasn't hard to guess if they were listening in or not.

"Because Amelia, I...I don't love her the way I love you. I didn't think it was fair to either of you." I sighed, debating on whether or not I should keep fighting my feelings for Johnny.

Johnny and I had sorted out our arguing and we hadn't argued since, but still, I was hesitant. Maybe because I was still paranoid because of last time, but I knew that wouldn't happen again.

"What did you tell Amber?" He sighed. "Don't tell me you told her the same thing you told me." Johnny glanced down at the ground.

"Maybe." Knowing Amber, I expected that I'd be sent death threats of some sort because of this. As if I made Johnny break up with her or something. "But, I wanted to ask you something, Amelia." He leaned forward as if we were supposed to be secretive.

"Well, ask away," I said, leaning forward as well. I didn't even realize I was smiling.

"Would you like to get back together again?" He smiled at me.

"Yes Johnny, I'd like to get back together with you." He placed a long peck on my lips before Jordan called me back to work.
