7) Plan of Attack

Weeks passed.

It was difficult, definitely, but Wanda did her best.

Wanda learned different methods of fighting with Natasha, how to blend in with American society, how to get money from Stark just by batting her eyes, and how to cook without burning her palm.

She practiced training against most of the Avengers. She found out each of them had certain weaknesses and strengths, but she refused to show her full strength yet. Not that she really knew it herself.

Wanda never found herself too comfortable inside of the Avenger's tower, but she put on an act so that the six would at least think she was happy.

Loki had been keeping regular contact with her, and he was planning on attacking the tower soon.

He'd been trying to convince her to join his side, and for whatever reason, she hadn't brought herself to tell anyone about this. Yet.

As much as Wanda didn't like pretending to be happy in this place, there was one person she didn't want getting hurt at the hands of the god. Pietro. He didn't seem to treat her like an outsider like the other Avengers did. He didn't try to change her in ways that Natasha and Stark seemed to do.

He was just her brother, and she wasn't going to let him get hurt.

Wanda walked towards Pietro's room, knocking on the door. It was about 2 in the afternoon, so he would be awake. Wanda found out that he usually slept in, so she always had a specific time pattern for when she saw him.

He opened the door and saw her with a look of worry on her face.

"Come in. Is anything wrong?" He asked.

"I need to talk to you about something." Wanda said as she entered the room.

Pietro shut the door and Wanda walked over to a gamer chair that he had. His room was much different from hers. He had a corner of the room that had three computers and a gaming system. Huh.

Pietro sat down on his bed, which was only a twin sized bed for some reason.

"Is there any way you could go out somewhere tonight? Just not come to the tower until tomorrow morning?" Wanda asked.

Pietro gave a laugh, confused at her request.

"Why? Is someone planning a birthday party for me? If so you should be leaving too."

He was joking but Wanda couldn't even make an effort to laugh. Pietro's smile vanished as he noticed that she genuinely looked worried, more worried than she seemed when Loki had a knife to her throat a month ago.

"What's happening at the tower tonight?" He asked, more serious.

"A person, not a good person, wants to hurt everyone in this tower." Wanda said, her voice quiet.

"Loki? How do you know?"

"Because we have a mental connection. And he reads my mind, listens in on my conversations. I tried pushing him out but I can't. He wants to hurt you."

Pietro froze. He honestly hadn't expected that.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner? I could've helped!" He said.

"I wish you could've, but now you have to please listen to me and get out of here, just for tonight."

Pietro didn't say anything for a moment. His eyes passed over Wanda, figuring out what to say.

"I can't abandon my team." He stated.

Wanda let out a groan.

"You're risking your life for these people who murdered our parents!?" She asked.
