The next morning, Wanda was sitting in the small kitchen area that they'd made. Loki had stolen food from the other kitchen, food that didn't need to be heated up or refrigerated. That's what they had to eat. Wanda hadn't had dinner the previous night, so she was having poptarts now. This was something she didn't need a fork for, thankfully.
Loki didn't seem to need the same amount of sleep that she did, so she wasn't surprised to find that when she'd woken up, he was already awake, reading a simple paper book.
She hadn't had the best sleep. For one, it took her forever to fall asleep, especially since she knew Loki was only a few feet away.
Her mind was still full of questions from the interaction she eavesdropped on yesterday.
Part of her kind of hoped that Loki did his "meditation" again so she could hopefully answer some of those questions.
She finished the poptart and walked back into the main room, staying standing as she looked over at the pile of things they had. Maybe she'd find this so-called Darkhold.
"Hey," She began talking. "What happened to the tesseract?"
Loki looked up from his book. Wanda searched for any guilt in his eyes. He'd done something. He always did. But he was good at hiding it.
"I gave it to someone. Someone back in Asgard who doesn't treat me like Odin does." He stated.
He sounded confident, Wanda almost believed him.
"Who?" She asked, hoping she didn't sound too pushy with the question.
"Fandral. He is one of the few men I trust."
Wanda gave a small nod. Loki had mentioned the man before. He was apart of this trio group of warriors. Wanda wondered if anything ever happened between the two of them considering how Loki spoke of him.
"How is your head?" Loki asked.
"What? Oh- it's better. Just needs a bit more time." She said.
"Alright. Well you should work on your magic then, just small hexes if larger ones hurt your mind. I need to clear my mind as well." He said.
Great. He was doing his "meditation".
Wanda put on a small smile.
"Okay! I will be... In another room." She said before exiting.
She needed to work on her excuses and lies. Afterall, she was trying to seem like she wasn't sneaking into the mind of a God. Not the easiest to do.
She waited a few minutes, making a few random things float around the room just in case Loki was sensing her magic like she did his. And when she did sense his magic in play, she lowered the items and walked back into the main room. Sure enough, Loki had already entered his mind place.
Wanda did the same thing she did the day before, only this time she was more prepared.
It only took a moment for her to push herself into his mind. She appeared in the same place as last time, even the same spot.
She moved to the same spot behind the crates, listening on the conversation to see if it would answer anything. She did her best to keep her breath from being too loud, since even though she was practically a ghost, it was still very easy to make noise.
"I think she's onto me. She seemed quite anxious yesterday."
Well then. That answers one question.
"Do you really believe she is worth All this trouble?" The other person asked.
"Yes. She's the Scarlet Witch. Believe me."
