Who would have guessed that I'd be helping my girl plan her gender reveal party whilst carrying a baby of my own? It's been a couple of months since we found out that we were expecting and so much has happened during that time.

Kids hadn't ever been on the cards for me. First, it was because of my choice in career but then it was the fact I couldn't seem to find someone who would put up with my shit. Let alone fall madly in love with me and decide that they wanted to stay.

Until Dom. Looking back on our relationship it seems my parents were right. Starting as friends before becoming lovers really does take a relationship to another level.

I think if Dom hadn't known me for years prior to our relationship then he wouldn't have even entertained us becoming something more. He's seen me at my worst and my best and yet he still sees me as nothing less than perfect.

From standing at Sky's bedside following on from the accident. Being her ride and die throughout her journey to recovery. Being unknowingly pregnant. Finding out we're pregnant.

After getting engaged months ago we thought we had more time to plan the huge white wedding. A similar fairytale to what Bryan and Sky had but that all changed when we saw two pink lines on the pregnancy test. We ditched the white wedding and raced to the 'I Do's.' The story of how what and when will remain a secret for now. Something that will remain between my husband, my sister and her mister.

We didn't invite everyone and at first, I'd worried that the others would be upset but after how Chris and Bells eloped that didn't so much as grumble. They were just happy for us. We have the occasional teasing remark but it's not from a place of anger or annoyance but from friendship.

"So, are we thinking pink or blue confetti?" I ask as I tap away on my laptop. Trying to catch her out as she has still refused to tell me the gender. How I'm supposed to help her with this reveal when I don't know I don't know.

"Nice try" she laughs shaking her head as she giggles "yellow, pink, blue and green"

Rolling my eyes I find the confetti in those colours and add them to the cart. An hour passes us by and I'm already $3000 deep and we haven't even ordered a cake or a caterer.

"We don't need a caterer I can cook the food" Sky tries to protest. Demanding that she is more than capable to prepare enough food for thirty people without having to pay someone else. After twenty minutes of going round in circles, I shout for Bryan. I know he'll be on my side and make her see sense.

"What's the matter?" He asks as he steps into the room, pressing a kiss on his wife's forehead and a pat on her bump.

"Please tell your wife that she's in no condition to cook for over thirty people. She's being irrational." I jab at her even though I'm talking to him. His eyes darken and for a moment I think I've overstepped but instead of putting me back in my place, he turns his gaze on Sky. Staring her down with a look of "you've got to be shittin' me.

She flutters her lashes up at him in a last attempt to win him over. Trying to capture him beneath her spell. Only this time she fails and he shakes his head growling "You've got to be fucking kidding. You are seven and five months pregnant. You are not spending hours on your feet cooking food for a party that you should be enjoying and relaxing. You will hire a caterer or I will do it for you. Don't push me on this."

If I was Sky it's submit and agree to anything but I know she's not going to back down easily. Not because she doesn't agree with him or is going to listen to what he's said but out of principle. Sky can't seem to help herself. She craves domination. She wants him to put her in her place and threaten her with a spanking.

"I don't think so, sweetheart. Just in case you've forgotten I'm a grown-ass woman and I can do whatever the fuck I want."

"Like fuck you do!" Bryan roars, leaning down and caging her body beneath his forcing her into submission. "I own you. Your body, heart and soul," he growls. His rumble vibrating inside the room before switching his voice to a soft possessive confidence "Sweetness, I own your fucking life. Everything about you and that involves you are MINE! If I tell you to do something you do it... You say 'Yes, daddy' and follow it up with a mind-blowing kiss,"

It's not a rarity that I get to witness something like this happening between them but it is a rarity that Bryan and I are on the same page. Sky will always be my ride and die but sometimes she needs a firm helping hand and Bryan never fails to accomplish that. Similar to all of the boys in our friendship groups they are what we'd call daddies.

Sky tips her head up jutting out her chin as she flutters her lashes. Her tropical blue eyes lost in his treasure chest eyes. "Yes, Daddy" before pressing her lips against his. Wrapping her arms around his neck and pulled him close to her. Blushing I look away and flick through my Instagram and send a message to Dom. Watching my friends has me feeling sentimental and leaving my heart aching for my man.

Fuck, I love you. x

By the time I've sent my message, Sky has settled back into her spot on the couch and Bryan has walked back over towards the door. "Thanks" I smile as he nods, turning and then walking out of the room. Feeling both at ease and a little smug.

"I can't believe you took his side. I'm not sure if I should be pissed as hell or be thanking you."

Smirking I shrug my shoulders as I go back to add things to my shopping cart. "Did you want to do gift bags for the guests or have any games?" I ask from behind my laptop.

"I love the idea of gift bags. Maybe we could do a gift box. Chocolates, candles, tumblers, straws and maybe some fluffy socks." Sky replies, her excitement raiding across the room.

"Yes, are you going to pick a specific colour for the boxed to tie in with the baby's gender?" I ask trying again to see if I can get her to slip up but even with how tired she is she's still as slick as a fox. She just shakes her head laughing at me.

"If Bryan gives me the go-ahead then I will let you know the gender but I'm not going to go against him on this, Quinnie. I'm sorry but I just can't" she stumbles her voice cracking. I close the laptop screen slightly and glance over at her. Her eyes are puffy and she looks like she's going to cry. Shit. I didn't mean to make her upset.

"No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you. Of course, you and Bryan want to keep it between the two of you. I'm just so excited." I smile.

"I know you are and I love being able to share all of this with you. I'm just feeling emotional."

We share a smile and get back to finishing everything Sky and Bryan could possibly need for their first baby shower.

A few hours later and Bryan's voice echoes from somewhere in the house. "Babe, Dom's coming over to have dinner. What do you girls fancy?" A huge smile tugs at my mouth, my man coming. I can't wait to see him.

Sky and I share a look before she shouts back 'Chinese'. Laughing at how similar our cravings have become since this morning. I wonder if it's possible for cravings to become synchronised just like periods?

"Did you want some pickles?" Sky asks laughing at me when I rush to close my laptop and get onto my feet. Walking behind her closely as we head into the kitchen. The search for pickles is at the top of our priorities.
