The Kitten's Limit (Original)

Chapter 2

Gumball closed the door and shook his fur, drying it as well as he could, then walked over to his locker, now feeling slightly annoyed, and found Darwin and Anais were waiting for him.

"There you are! I was beginning to think you weren't gonna make it dude!" Darwin greeted him.

Anais looked him up and down. "What on earth happened to you?"

"It started raining."

"Oh, I see. Well, you should probably go and dry your clothes then. You can use the dryer in the bathroom."

"Dry my...oh yeah, why didn't I think of that? Saves me from sitting in wet clothes all morning. Thanks, sis."

"Uh, you're welcome I guess? Anyway, I gotta go to class, see you at break!" She began to walk towards her class turning to wave at him.

"Alright, have a good day!" Darwin cheerfully replied.

"Will do!" She went around the corner.

Gumball checked the time. "Phew, still enough time to head to the bathroom."

The two of them headed towards the bathroom, Gumball dripping water as he walked.

Darwin suddenly stifled a laugh.

"What's so funny?" Gumball asked.

"Huh? Oh, it's nothing."

"Awww come on, tell me."

Darwin smiled. "It's just...you look like a drowned rat!" He giggled.

Gumball smiled and let out a chuckle."You don't say..."

They reached the bathroom and entered only to find the dryer out of order.

"aaand, the dryer's broken, because of course it is."

Darwin shrugged. "Guess you'll have to do it the old-fashioned way."

He sighed and stripped naked, twisting each piece of clothing over the sink to get as much water as he could out of them.

"I guess that'll have to do, still damp though..."

"Better than leaving them dripping wet."

"Yeah, it'll be bearable at least."

"Well, we should get to class, it's about to start."

"Ugh, time to be bored as heck..."

He went to pick up his pants from next to the sink and found they were caught on the tap.

"What the- oh come on!"

He tugged on them trying to get them loose.

"Let go of my trousers you stupid. piece. of-"

He gave them a hard tug and they finally came loose, but the force sent him stumbling back through the door and onto the floor in the hallway, still completely naked.
