Chapter 20: Not really sure!

This is getting weirder than I thought. First, I haven't spoken to my parents about me transferring to the boarding school. I just knew that after the second grading, I will be gone and probably go to their.

"Ash. Step into my office for final review about the Quiz Bowl tomorrow." Said Mrs. Divine Grace said to me after our lessons in English.

"Okay Ma'am. No problem." I said and she went outside the room. I  sat on my desk staring at the blackboard blindly until Ariana sat beside me and smiling. I turned to her.

"Yup? What's the matter?" I asked.

"Aren't you sad that you will be leaving us soon?"

"Of course I am. Who wouldn't be?" I said.

"So why not try to convince your parents not to sent you?" she suggested like it was the very good thing to do and it was so easy. I didn't get the chance to talk to my parents because they're always out.

            "I wish I could." I sighed.

"Actually.. You can.."she said while dialing her cellphone.

            "What are you..."

"Hello. Mrs. Rober. Hi.. This is Ariana. Ash wants to speak to you." She said as she handed to me her phone.

"I'm going to kill you" I mouthed to her before I took the phone and talk to my mother.

"Hi Mom. What's up?" I said, feeling so awkward about the question which seemed inappropriate.

"Fine. Ash, you wanted to talk to me? What's the matter? Did something happen?" she said over the line. Her voice was like telling me to hurry up because she had important meetings to attend and this was just a waste of her time.

"It's all about the boarding school thing. Mom, I really don't want to go there. I—I don't like it."

"Why?" she said, sounding a little bit mad about me explaining to her about boarding school.

"It just doesn't feel right. I mean, maybe you should've consult me first before  making a decision that huge. I..."

"Ash. I'm in a middle of a meeting right at this moment, so can we just talk about this at home? Don't worry. We will discuss this. Bye. I love you." She said and then hung up. I really didn't know if we will be able to discuss about this at home when most of the time, they're not home.

"So?" Ariana said as I returned her phone to her.

"Well, I guess I'll just have to wait for them to show up in the house and we will discuss about it." I said, feeling hopeless.

"At least she knows what you feel about that boarding school." She said while shrugging. I guess she was right. At least I have spoken to my mom that I don't like it.

            "Yeah.Thanks."

"By the way, I'll be having a date this afternoon, you wanna come?" Ariana said. A date?

"No way. You have a date? Who is this guy? I must know." I said, eyeing her consciously. I was just surprised that Ariana would have a date because I think it's too early for her to move on.
