Chapter 27: Too much for one night

"Albert.. I love you and I've waited for this moment to happen but we can't be together knowing that someone is going to get hurt" I said upon looking into his eyes, the eyes that captivated me the moment I realized that I loved him before.

"Ash.. Just forget about other people. Focus on the two of us." he said as he held my shoulders with his hands sending me electricity.

"No! This isn't right. You have the responsibility over that child, therefore you have to take that and be mature. Face your consequences."

"But Ash.. Can't you see? I love you , and you loved me.  Isn't it the only thing that mattered as of this moment?" he said as he stepped closer to me while I stepped back.

"No! It's not the only thing that matters. Tell me Albert, when you broke up with me, did you ever consider my feelings?" I asked.

He didn't say anything..

"You didn't because you were a selfish individual who only care about yourself and you never even think about the consequences." I said with all honesty.
And although part of me wanted to be with him,
that is never going to happen.

I walked out of the room and left the school even though it's raining. I was soaked but I don't care. I noticed that my tears are falling. I don't know why I'm crying. Maybe that's just the end of our love story.

I continued walking in the rain  while it continued pouring. A car halted  beside me and I turn to look who was it but it was useless because the car was tinted.

"Hey Ash!!" shouted the driver as he opened the window of his car. I looked and I saw Rain. He had a surprised face as he looked at me up and down.

"Come on in" he shouted and gestured me to get inside as he opened the door of the front seat.

"Thanks" I said as I slid my soaking body in his car. I hope he didn't mind it all the mess that I created.

"Why are you walking in the rain?" he asked.

"I just liked it." I said while I forced myself to smile.

"Ash. Don't fool me. No one wants to bathe in the rain, unless you want to get cold." he said and then reached for a shopping bag beside him. He got a jacket and give it to me. I can see that it's very new because the price tag was still in there.

"Thanks." I said to him with a smile. I just noticed.. In situations like these, it's Rain who comforted me. It's him who's always there to help me. He's always there whenever I need help. Maybe if he's not the ex boyfriend of Ariana, then maybe I would develop deep feelings towards him. No wonder Ariana is still in love with him.

"Are you okay? You are blushing." he said and I noticed a smile forming.

"What? No.. Hey, focus on the road." I said out of nowhere because I can't think of things to say just to fill in the awkward moment.

"Why are you in the road when it's already very late?" he said it like he was my father.

"I slept and I woke up very late."

"Why didn't you call me so that I can get you?" he said while focusing on the road.

" Well, I think you might be very busy right now, so... I didn't bother."

"You know that I'm always here for you right?"  he said.

Is this some kind of joke? I still didn't forget how he kissed me the other night, so I was thinking if he was fooling me. I mean, you shouldn't be kissing people when they don't mean anything. Maybe he is.... In love with me... That's ridiculous.
