I wake up right next to Soyeon, still cuddling. But when I say right next to, I mean so close that my nose is touching her cheek. I move away from her so I don't yawn in her face even though she's still asleep, and think about last night for a little. I never told anyone about how much I loved her, because my parents wouldn't accept that I was madly in love with a girl, and if I had told any of our other friends, Soyeon would eventually find out and I don't know if that would change anything.

So I can't help but wonder, how much of a coincidence is it that she's here and my butler — who happens to be her cousin — was supposedly unavailable?

Did Soyeon come back for me?

I sigh as I realize she's now awake and I've been staring at her. I turn away and stretch to make it seem like I was just distracted. I was distracted, but I was thinking about Soyeon.

"Hey," I say casually. "Did you sleep well?"

"I did," Soyeon replies and yawns. "It felt different but this was probably the best sleep I've had in a while."

I wanna tease her and ask if it's because I was with her, but it doesn't feel right yet. Instead, with hopes that I helped her sleep better, I just hug her again. I don't wanna pull away.

"Thanks for staying with me." Soyeon says.

"You're welcome," I reply. "Anytime."

Her hair smells so good I just wanna submerge myself in that scent. Soyeon stays silent for a little, so I decide to speak again.

"We also redid my room. It's not childish anymore so whenever you wanna see it.." I say.

"I wanna see your room first, then the pool." Soyeon replies. Haku and Mata suddenly climb up on the bed. I had no idea they were even here, but I still pet them, until Haku lays down next to Soyeon with his head on her arm. I remember when I first got them and brought Soyeon to my house almost every night when we got close, Haku was always affectionate towards her. At some point I used to think he loved Soyeon more than me, but I didn't mind. I loved Soyeon more than myself too.

Haku looks up at her and licks Soyeon's chin, which I find really cute. I don't bother hiding my smile, and Soyeon smiles back as Haku keeps licking her chin.

"You two look cute," I say.

"Thanks," Soyeon replies. Haku lays his head on her arm again and Soyeon pets the fur under his ear. Haku slowly falls asleep. "I'm happy they remember me."

"Of course they do," I think to myself, and then say it out loud. I should include the part that Haku and Mata have seen me crying countless times about Soyeon. I feel bad that they had to see that, because them just sitting in front of me tilting their tiny heads in confusion hurts. They have no idea. They're just happy this human they used to love suddenly came back here again.

"Well, wanna eat or something?" I ask. Soyeon shrugs.

"Okay," She says. "I still can't really cook something without starting over so..."

"Yeah don't worry about it. I'll make something," I reply. I pull the covers from us and push them aside as I sit up. Soyeon sits up aswell and follows me out of the room when we get up. Haku and Mata walk downstairs with us.

"Wanna see the pool first? Since we're here anyway," I say. Soyeon nods, so I grab her hand and we walk to the back door and then outside to the pool. She seems a little fascinated.

"It's bigger than I thought it would be," Soyeon says, staring at it.

"Yeah. My dad insisted it was a little big so he could swim more," I reply.
