I start to walk away, but he jogs in front of me; blocking my path.
"Why him?"
"WHY NESSA?"
His voice drops an octave, "What are you talking about?"
"Do you think I'm fucking blind or do you think I'm bat shit stupid? I saw you talking to her, so don't you dare play dumb with me."
"Ok, fine, but we were only talking."
"I get that, but I don't understand why you can't respect the fact that I'm insecure about your relationship with Nessa and would rather you distance yourself from her or at least tell me you're gonna talk to her!"
"Why are you insecure about Nessa?"
"BECAUSE SHE'S YOUR EX, JOSH! And when push comes to shove, you pick her; you pick her every single time. She's the one you've always wanted; she's the one you love! So if you want her so badly please just let me go so I can move on."
"Bullshit, I don't want her; I want you."
"Yeah, ok. See you around, Joshua."
I begin to walk away again when he shouts, "I love you, ok?"
I freeze before turning around to face him.
"What?"
"I love you. You're the woman; I love not Nessa."
He paces towards me until there are only centimeters between us.
His heavy breathing from the arguing was like music to my ears.
"I love you too."
His left-hand cups my face.
His thumbs trace my lips as if he was contemplating all the ways he could kiss them.
He slowly leans in; gently pushing his lip onto mine.
His hand slide down, pushing me up, so my legs could wrap around his waist.
At this moment, no one else mattered
We weren't worried about the paparazzi or judgmental eyes.
All we cared about was that we shared love with each other and the love we'd make in the backseat of his car minutes later.
