A knock ripples through the room.

I shoot up from my seat next to Mads and dart to the door, hoping it was him.

When I swing the door open, I'm instantly relieved when his lips meet mine.

And everything melts away.

It's as if he sweeps all the ashes under a rug and starts to rebuild my world with his mouth alone.

After a while, we pull apart and gasp for air.

"I missed you." He smiles.

"I've never been happier to hear that."

I pull him into a hug when I see Bryce standing outside the door, aimlessly scrolling on his phone.

"Oh, are you done now?"

I giggle and nod at his question, silently inviting them in.

They join me and Mads in the living room.

I curl up under a blanket next to Josh.

I've never been happier.

My world's repaired, and I'm lying here watching a movie with my best friends.

Life can't get any better than this.

And I don't dare to waste a second overthinking this.

I hope you enjoyed My Brother's Best Friend. Honestly, I really struggled with coming up with an ending which is why it's pretty shitty. I was never sure how it was gonna end and kinda just played it by ear, so I apologize that it's not the greatest. Go read All I Need by me if you enjoyed this book. It's a wayyyyy better Josh fanfic with a better plot. If you didn't know, I also have a new Jaden fanfic out called Different, so if you haven't read that yet, go check it out. I love you all and thank you for all the endless support I've gotten on this book. This is the end, but this book will always hold a special place in my heart.
