When I landed in LA I walked to baggage claim and gather my luggage. I was calling Bryce to ask where he was when someone hugged me from behind. Instinctively I push my arms out, breaking the hug, turn around, and slap the person. "Fuck Julia!" "Bryce, what the fuck! You scared the shit out of me! I thought you were some random guy trying to abduct me or something!" "I was trying to get a good bit for the vlog." He held his left cheek and gestured to the camera in his other hand. "You got a mean hand on ya." He laugh and reached for a hug which I accept. "Sorry about that. I missed you." "I missed you too." He took my bags and led me to where his car was parked. We caught up on the newest events in our lives and talked a little about mom; he wants to fly her out in maybe a week or two.

Soon enough we pull up to his house. He walked around to get my bags and I get out of the car. "Beware, we are grown men who act like middle schoolers." I laughed. He opened the door and a tall boy ran up. "Did you get food?" "No, was I supposed to?" "No, I was just hoping you'd bring some because I'm starving. " "If you give us a few minutes, we can go out to eat." The tall boy grew giddy. I realized that he looked familiar, it was Josh. "Yes, thank you!" "You're welcome. By the way, this is my sister Julia. He turned to face me. I guess he didn't notice me earlier because he examined me for a few seconds. "Hi, Julia. I'm Josh." He held his hand out for me to shake, which I accepted. Bryce's phone began to ring. "Josh, can you show Julia to her room, please." "Sure." Josh took my luggage and gestured for me to follow him. We entered a large room. "This is where you'll be staying." "Thanks." "No problem." He flopped onto my bed. "So, Julia." "Yeah." I sat down next to him. "What are your plans for while you're here?" "Mainly just hanging out with Mads and Avani and spending time with my brother. Oh, and you asked me to be on your podcast, so that too. Why?" "Just wondering. Podcasts go up on Wednesdays, so we'll record on Monday. Maybe we can hang out or something besides that." That made me nervous. Why did he want to spend time with me? I mean, I know that he's Bryce's best friend, so I'd see him a lot, but I didn't think he would want to hang out together alone. I smile so he doesn't see that I'm panicking, "Yeah, for sure." Then Bryce barged in. "Be ready in 5. We're going to Boa." Just as quickly as he came, he was gone. "Cool. I'll leave you to get dressed." Josh flashed a quick smile and gave a shy wave, backing up until he got to the door, then disappeared. Nothing good was gonna come from that boy; I could already sense it.
