October 24th, 2010
Troy began using his hands to dig as Nick put stuff in the bed of the truck
"No time for that, Troy. Gotta leave him" Nick said
"He was better than us. That's why he's gone. The good, they don't survive in this world. Only killers-" Troy was cut off
"Shut up, Troy. Your brother's dead because you brought a horde down on us. So, why don't you quit jerking off about the tragedy of it and help us do what Jake would've done or those people are gonna die. And if they do die, it's not because they were too good for this world, it's because we failed" Nick said. Troy nodded
"Anyone alive's in the pantry. It's where they were headed. Locked themselves in" Nick said
"All right, so we drive through the dead to get to them" Troy said
"We can't do that. There's way too many" I said
"We need to create a way through them or draw them away" Nick said
"Okay, we MOAB this shit. We stored the fuel from the depot over on the other side of the ranch. We get to the gas, we torch it and we make a break for the pantry. Distract them at least" Troy said
"If it's between that or do nothing.. it's gotta be that" Nick said
"Okay, let's do it" I said. We all got into the truck and drove off. We made it to our destination
"We'll create a scene and get to the stable, and blow the fuel reserve" Troy said
"All right, be ready" Nick said as he got out. The launcher was in his hands. He then aimed it. He cocked the launcher and then fired. An explosion was seen and heard. The infected all went towards it. Nick got back in the car
"Let's go" I said as Troy began driving onto the ranch. The ride was bumpy and we hit some infected. It covered the windshield. Troy began laughing as we hit another. The infected stayed on the windshield as it growled at us
"Holy shit, man" Nick said. Troy got the infected off but unfortunately, he ran into an RV. The car wouldn't move any more. The infected began to surround us. We all got out of the truck and ran. Troy began shooting infected as me and Nick stabbed them. We got to the helicopter. Troy opened it up and we got in, closing the door behind us. The infected surrounded us. We were trapped in, and Troy was laughing
"We're going to die, and he's laughing. Of course" I said
"All right" Nick said as he got to the front
"You know what you're doing, Nick?" Troy asked
"No idea. How do you turn the rotors on?" Nick asked
"It's that one. It's that one there! Nick" Troy said as he pointed
"Here?" Nick asked as he held onto the it
"That's it" Troy said. Nick pressed down and the rotors turned on. Blood splattered on the windows as infected were killed
"All right!" I yelled as the two smiled, but our happiness was short lived as it powered down
"Of all the places to die, huh?" Troy asked
"No, you're not dying here 'cause we're not dying here" Nick said as the infected broke through the glass. Me and Troy rushed to the front as infected reached in. Unfortunately there were only two seats in the helicopter. So I was awkwardly there on top of Troy with a knife in hand
"This is it, Nick! This is it! I saved one bullet. It's one of us. You choose. Go on" Troy said as the infected snarled. He held the gun out for Nick to take. Then suddenly, we saw an explosion. We all ducked. Then, we saw Walker, Madison and Victor. They killed all the infected surrounding us. Victor opened the door. I had the widest grin on my face as I saw him. He smiled back. I got off of Troy and practically jumped into Victor's arms. He gave me hug back as Troy and Nick got out of the helicopter
"We can save the reunion for later" Victor said
"We have to save Alicia" Madison said. So we made it to the pantry. Madison, Walker, and Victor killed all the infected. We saw Alicia
"Alicia, we're here. Come on" Madison said. She was covered in blood
"Mom?" Alicia asked
"We don't have much time" Victor said. Alicia walked away towards the back
"Alicia" Madison said as she went after Alicia. They kept killing infected
"Madison, we gotta go. If we don't go now, we'll be trapped in here" Walker said
"She's coming. Come on" Madison said. Alicia walked towards us, behind Madison

Me, Madison, Victor and Nick all stood beside each other as we looked into the distance
"It could've worked. It really could've worked" Madison said
"So you got to the fuel reserves before we did" Nick said
"There was enough to make an impact" Victor said
"And then some" Nick said. I looked at Victor
"It seems fate has us meeting again" I told him. He smiled
"Yes, I'm afraid I can't get rid of you that easily" He said. I smiled
"We have enough fuel to get us where we need to go" Madison said
"Where's that?" Nick asked
"Make the trading post by nightfall, supply up. Dam by morning" Madison said before she looked at Ofelia. She then walked off towards Ofelia. Alicia got out of the truck. Madison walked over to her after she finished speaking to Ofelia. Madison, Nick and Alicia had a conversation that I couldn't hear. Then Alicia went to walk away when Madison said something to her. Alicia turned
"Stop pretending any place is safe. It's not. We keep searching for something that doesn't exist. We kill for it and die for it" Alicia began
"Alicia" Nick said
"You know better than anyone. Don't say otherwise" Alicia told him
"Kind of short on options" Nick said
"It doesn't mean I have to choose that!" Alicia yelled
"The damn has water and walls. It's the best we're gonna get" Victor said
"I agree" I said
"We should go. While there's still sunlight" Walker said. We all got into the vehicle except for Alicia and Madison. Though unfortunately, Alicia decided she was to part ways with us, and Madison sent Troy and Nick after her. The rest of us moved towards the damn
