It was pouring rain. Hurricane Katrina had happened two months ago. Both of my parents died in the hurricane and I was left to fend for myself. I didn't want to go into the system. So I stayed on the streets. Sure, I was sixteen but I didn't care. I would rather be on my own then passed around by people who claim they cared about children. I was fine on my own. Most people would be terrified at the idea of a young beautiful girl like myself being left to fend for herself, especially with today's society
There were men who had no self control or respect for boundaries. There were men who would look at me and think I was their next body because they were disgusting pigs. But that didn't scare me, in fact I lured them towards me. I'd been doing it for the past month. I sat down on the ground as the rain poured. An older man approached me
"Hey, what's a fine little lady doing out here by yourself?" He asked. I looked up at him as I got up
"I don't have anywhere to go" I told him with sorrowful eyes. He looked at me with empathy before they were filled with greed
"I'm sorry to hear that, dear. If you want, I'd be happy to bring you back to my place for some shelter. It's not safe with the rain. You might get sick" He said with an innocent tone. His body language matched his voice. Sincere and friendly, but his eyes held greed and lust. I knew what the man was after
"Really, you'd let me?" I asked with gratefulness present in my eyes. He smiled
"Of course, honey" He said before he put his hand on my shoulder. That's when I took out my knife and stabbed the man in the stomach. He stared at me shocked as I grinned at him with a crazy look on my face. Before he could even retaliate, I stabbed him in the chest before stabbing him in the stomach again. The man collapsed as he had died. Blood pooled out of his wounds as rain poured down. I kept stabbing him as I stared at him with a sadistic smile
Unfortunately, I wasn't the only witness to this. I heard footsteps. I turned to see a man who wore a suit. He was clearly rich. I got up with my knife in hand. The rain was cleaning the blood off of my hands and arms
"You should leave" I told him. He put his hands up in defeat
"You did what you had to. I saw the whole thing. The world is better off without people like him" The man said
"What do you want?" I asked. He approached with his hands still raised. There was a familiar look in his eyes
"I believe we can help each other" He told me
"Do you really expect me to believe that you aren't just like that guy?" I asked
"Please, I'm not attracted to children, let alone women" The man said
"So you're gay?" I asked
"Yes, my name is Victor Strand, and I believe we can help each other" He said
